If your Mr. Darcy of choice is Matthew Macfadyen, I have some excellent news. (If your Mr. Darcy of choice is Colin Firth, please, continue enjoying your DVDs.) For its 20th anniversary, Pride & Prejudice is being rereleased in theaters. Woohoo! The adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel premiered back in 2005 with Keira Knightley, who was just getting her start as the queen of period pieces, and Matthew Macfadyen, who was years away from becoming Tom Wambsgans. The movie is full of longing glances, dramatic moments in the English countryside, and dancing—pronounced, of course, dahn-cing and Mr. Darcy is not a fan!
So, if this big anniversary has you in the mood to enjoy the love story once again—or for the first time!—read on to find out when and where you can watch the movie in theaters and at home.
When is Pride & Prejudice retuning to theaters?
Even though Pride & Prejudice originally debuted in U.S. theaters in November 2005, the nationwide rerelease is happening in the spring. The official rerelease date is Sunday, April 20 for a "limited engagement," as noted by distributor Focus Features. But, as is the case with many theatrical releases, many cinemas actually start showing the movie a couple of days early, starting on Friday, April 18.

How can I watch Pride & Prejudice at home?
Rather enjoy your Bennet family drama at home? Unsurprisingly, given that it's been out for 20 years, Pride & Prejudice is available to rent, buy, or stream online. The film is currently streaming for your convenience on Netflix, having joined the platform's list of titles on March 1.
If you don't have a Netflix subscription, you can rent or buy the movie from various sites such as Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. And, again, if you want a 2005 experience, a DVD is also an option.
