The 2025 Emmy Awards are HERE and as we marvel at all of our fave TV stars as they hit the red carpet, we couldn't be more excited to see what unfolds at the show this year.
At the 2024 Emmys, stars like Jeremy Allen White, Anna Sawai, and Elizabeth Debicki snagged the iconic Emmy statuette, and you might be wondering how much $$$ they received, too.
TL;DR: Winning an Emmy doesn’t necessarily come with a cute paycheck, but that doesn’t mean the honorees can’t get their money up. Here’s everything we know about how much Emmy winners take home.
How much money do Emmy winners make?
So...Emmy winners *technically* don’t get paid for earning the award. It’s kind of like the Olympics, where athletes compete and earn their medals with no cash prize, or the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer, who is not paid.
How! Ever! Like Olympians, there’s still an opportunity for Emmy winners to up their rates thanks to the ~prestige~ that comes with recognition from the Television Academy. Long story short, they can get paid more for winning an Emmy if they use that to negotiate higher $$$ from the projects they take on as an Emmy Award winner. Make sense?
So how much is an Emmy Award worth, then?
Great Q! According to the Los Angeles Times (via CNBC), the gorgeous Emmy statuettes are made out of copper and nickel...but they’re also dipped in liquid gold (casual!). The outlet reports that manufacturing costs around $300 to $400 and the award weighs 128 ounces. As of September 2025, an ounce of gold is worth approximately $3,650 per APMEX.
If the math is mathing, that means Emmys would be worth $467,200 if they were made of solid gold. Well then!!
