• Gwyneth Paltrow’s new movie, Marty Supreme, hits theaters on Christmas Day.
  • She plays Timothée Chalamet’s love interest in the film, in which they share a few intimate scenes together.
  • Her son, Moses Martin, has seen her sex scenes with Timmy—and he had the realest reaction to them.

Marty Supreme may be making its way to theaters this Christmas, but Gwyneth Paltrow’s grown children, Apple and Moses Martin, are already familiar with their mom’s latest role.

Gwyneth, who stars opposite Timothée Chalamet as his love interest in the movie, brought them to the New York City premiere on Tuesday, December 16, where they had a chance to watch the buzzy film before it officially drops. While they “loved” the movie, the Oscar-winner opened up about Moses’ initial reaction to her intimate romantic scenes with Timothée during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers that same day.

“How is that for him, sitting next to your mom during those scenes?” Seth asked, as Gwyneth joked that her 19-year-old son’s initial reaction was “not great.”

“He was like this,” she said as she covered her eyes with her hands, adding, “He’s not into that.”

Gwyneth admitted that she “did warn” him about her sex scenes with Timmy, which reminded her of an experience she shared with her grandfather when he saw her nude scene in 1999’s Shakespeare In Love.

“It’s funny because you grow up doing these things in movies, and I remember once, I was so scared because I was taking my grandfather to see the premiere of Shakespeare in Love,” she shared. “I was like, ‘I have this topless scene, Grandpa, but it’s like part of the thing because they think I’m a boy.’ I was trying to prep him for the whole thing, and he just goes, ‘Ah, I seen it before. Two eggs, sunny side up.’”

Seth then suggested that she should have similarly warned Moses. “I mean, based on how you just delivered it, you should have said that. Don’t sell yourself short,” he said, adding, “What a pearl of wisdom to pass down to the next generation. Well, we’re going to let your grandfather have the final word because it was so fantastic.”

There’s been a ton of chatter surrounding her Marty Supreme sex scenes leading up to the film’s release. Back in March, Gwyneth opened up to Vanity Fair about working with Timmy.

“We have a lot of sex in this movie. There’s a lot—a lot,” she said at the time, revealing that they opted out of using an intimacy coordinator while filming.

“I was like, ‘Girl, I’m from the era where you get naked, you get in bed, the camera’s on.’ We said, ‘I think we’re good. You can step a little bit back,’” she explained, adding, “I don’t know how it is for kids who are starting out, but…if someone is like, ‘Okay, and then he’s going to put his hand here’...I would feel, as an artist, very stifled by that.”
