Does anyone remember watching Saturday cartoons as a kid and actually really looking forward to the commercials? For me, those were almost as riveting as the shows themselves! This would be the time we'd get to see brand new toys that we just absolutely had to have. After being fully convinced that I needed whatever toys I had just seen (and especially before all of my friends!), the next step was to expeditiously go beg my parents for it. Ah, simpler times.

Like, the Easy Bake Oven to sourdough starter pipeline is mildly offensive, is it not? Just me? And don't even get me started on the Gameboy Colors. I mean, that was just the beginning of our collective device dependency because the way my mom couldn't pry that thing out of my hands!
