15 Celebrities in Their 30s Who Stunned at the 2025 Met Gala

The world of fashion and beauty may be obsessed with all things Gen Z and the idea of youth, but at tonight’s Met Gala, it was the celebrities in their 30s whose hair and makeup looks stole the show. Sure, as a 30-something myself, I may be biased, but just look at these iconic glam moments! You can’t deny that the nude lips on Miley Cyrus and Gigi Hadid, the sculptural hair moments on Ego Nwodim and Lizzo, or the glowing skin on Laura Harrier and Cynthia Erivo are just beyond...but they’re not forced or too “try hard.”

The dress code for the Met Gala this year is “Tailored for You.” My interpretation of this as a beauty editor is glam that feels distinctly right or “tailored” to its subject. So one-of-a-kind that it looks like the makeup was literally dreamt up for this particular individual. To really execute this requires strong self-confidence and self-identity, something that I’ve learned comes with age, so it makes sense that the 30+ crowd understood the assignment.
