Our Editors Found the Best Airwrap Dupes (and Some Are Even Better than Dyson)

Basically every beauty editor in my feed has been sharing nonstop selfies of their voluminous, fluffy waves, all courtesy of the T3 Air Styler. And after using it on my hair for a week straight, I can confirm that it’s worthy of all the praise and clocks in as the best Dyson Airwrap dupe I’ve ever tried.

It seriously rivals the O.G. Airwrap in its results, especially in the volume department. I especially love how my hair looks when I curl with this, since the ceramic coating on the barrel evenly distributes heat for long-lasting curls (that are also seriously shiny, might I add). "I’m terrible at maneuvering a round brush and blow dryer at the same time, which is why I’m obsessed with T3’s Aire 360," says Cosmo's beauty director Lauren Balsamo. The Shark Glam is easily one of the best hair tool launches of 2025. We tested it across three editors with different hair textures and really loved that it works for everyone–curls, short lengths, thick and coarse hair, you name it. The biggest difference we noticed between the Flexstyle and the Airwrap was in the size and length of the attachments, specifically the round brushes and curling wands. "Ever since I cut my hair into a short lil French bob, I've been infatuated with my Shark FlexStyle, specifically the curling attachments," says beauty editor Beth Gillette. "They're on the smaller side, compared to other similar tools I've tried—this gives me a tighter curl, which majorly helps with the longevity of my style."

Of all the Dyson Airwrap dupes I've tested, this one gave me the quickest, most voluminous look of all (see the pic below for proof). I started by drying my roots with the blow-dryer attachment, then gave 'em some lift with the round brush. I loved that it didn't tug at my hair, but still created enough tension to give me some serious va-va-volume. I followed that with the curling attachment to create waves throughout my hair, which not only were bouncy and voluminous but smooth and silky too. Every time I use this tool, I'm so obsessed with how my hair looks.

One caveat is that, based on my testing (and senior entertainment editor Emma Baty's), you've gotta put some work in to get these curls to hold their shape for longer than an hour or so. I always scrunch in some mousse to give my hair some lift and hold before using the tool. I also make sure to hold the barrel on my hair for 10 to 15 seconds, then hit it with the cold shot for 10 seconds to set them in place.

Whenever anyone asks me how I like the Dyson Airwrap for my fine, short hair, I always say that it's got the smallest round brush barrel, which is great for giving me major volume and styling my bangs. No other device offered up the same thing...until I tested this style from Ella Bella. It comes with two round brush sizes, but I'm especially smitten with the smaller one. It perfectly styles my bangs into lil swoops while volumizing at the roots. The brushes also super gentle and don't tug at my hair, which cuts down on potential damage for my already-fragile strands. I do have to hold my hair on the curling barrels for about 15 seconds to get them to hold as long as the Airwrap, but I don't mind, because the 1.6-inch barrels create an ideal wave.
