When The Pitt gets too stressful, it's nice to know that the silliest and goofiest medical show is back with a new season after *gulp* sixteen years. Which cast members are returning, and who is joining Sacred Heart in Scrubs Season 10? Let's gather around for everything you need to know about the ABC reboot's ensemble.
Scrubs originally ran from 2001 to 2010. Not a full decade, but pretty close! The creator and showrunner, Bill Lawrence, is also responsible for shows you know and love like Cougar Town, Clone High, Ted Lasso, and Shrinking. Nobody does heartwarming comedy like him, with the maybe exception of shows like Parks and Recreation and Schitt's Creek... maybe Lawrence is more of a trendsetter than a lone wolf. Anyway, the Scrubs reboot season has welcomed back series regulars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, and Judy Reyes. Other favorites are returning as well in recurring roles. There is an impressive roster of comedians joining as both new staff and medical/surgical interns, as well as some fun guest stars.
Sadly for me, at least, there don't appear to be plans to bring back the cast that joined the soft reboot ninth and former final season of Scrubs that included Dave Franco, Eliza Coupe, and Kerry Bishé. Some of us not only remember but watched and liked that season, but whatever! It's fine! Here's who you can expect to see in the new Scrubs revival:
Zach Braff plays John “JD” Dorian
Dr. Dorian, better known as JD, is the open-hearted protagonist of the series. In this reboot, he returns to Sacred Heart as Chief of Medicine.
It's a little silly to think about where people watching the Scrubs reboot might know the main cast members, as the most likely answer is Scrubs! That said, Braff was once upon a time the star/writer/director of Garden State. Other credits over the years include The Last Kiss, Chicken Little, Wish I Was Here, some stage acting, television and music video directing, and like a thousand commercials with his Scrubs co-star and IRL BFF Donald Faison.

Donald Faison plays Chris Turk
Dr. Turk represents the surgical arm to JD's medical arm at Sacred Heart. He's Chief of Surgery now, still JD's bestie, and has four kids with his forever wife, Carla.
Besides Scrubs and the afore-mentioned commercials, you know Faison from Clueless, Can't Hardly Wait, Remember the Titans, Waiting to Exhale, Felicity, Pitch Perfect, and more.

Sarah Chalke plays Elliot Reid
Dr. Reid is an internal medicine doctor at Sacred Heart.
Prior to Scrubs, Chalke famously replaced Lecy Goranson as Becky on Roseanne. She played Stella, a fan favorite love interest on How I Met Your Mother. You also know her from Firefly Lane, Friends from College, Cougar Town, and Rick and Morty.

Judy Reyes plays Carla Espinosa
Carla is head nurse at Sacred Heart. She has lovingly perfected the art of putting up with her Turk and JD's nonsense.
Reyes went on to starring roles in Devious Maids and Claws and recurring roles on One Day at a Time and Jane the Virgin. She was in multiple episodes of Succession and Search Party. She was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in 2023 for the film Birth/Rebirth. Most recently, she stars as Selena on High Potential.

John C. McGinley as Perry Cox
Dr. Cox is JD's mentor/hero (but JD is more like his nemesis) and the former Chief of Medicine at Sacred Heart.
McGinley's pre-Scrubs credits include Point Break, Office Space, Wall Street, Talk Radio and Platoon. Between the original series and the reboot, he starred in two short-ish lived sitcoms called Ground Floor and Stan Against Evil.
Christa Miller plays Jordan Cox
Jordan is Perry's ex wife. She was, on the original series, a member of the hospital's board of directors.
Miller has been lending her deadpan humor to another Bill Lawrence show, Shrinking, on Apple TV. She was also a series regular on Cougar Town and the animated series Clone High. Fun fact: she's also a music supervisor on shows like Cougar Town, Scrubs, and Ted Lasso.
Before we move on to the new newbies on Scrubs, other returning cast and characters include: Neil Flynn as the Janitor, Phil Lewis as Dr. Hooch, and Robert Maschio as The Todd.

Vanessa Bayer plays Sibby Wilson
Sibby is the head of HR at Sacred Heart. Thoughts and prayers!

Joel Kim Booster plays Kevin Park
Dr. Park is an attending physician who's not thrilled about JD's return and new job.
Booster is an actor, writer, and stand-up comedian. In that order? Not for me to decide. He has two Emmy nominations for Fire Island, the 2022 modern adaptation of Pride & Prejudice he wrote and starred in directed by Andrew Ahn. He's a writer and performer on Loot as well as Big Mouth and also recurred on Shrill.

Jacob Dudman plays Asher Green
Dr. Green is a very nervous and British medical intern.
Dudman recently appeared in the wartime drama The Choral. Prior to that, he played Sam on Fate: The Winx Saga and showed up on The Stranger–both on Netflix. Fun fact: he has also lent his voice to a lot of Doctor Who audiobooks and dramas.

Layla Mohammadi plays Amara Hadi
Dr. Hadi is a surgical intern with a reputation for being a little out there. Thankfully, she's at a hospital with a prominent freak flag.
Mohammadi starred in the 2023 indie The Persian Version. She has also popped up on Sex Lives of College Girls, the Mad About You and iCarly reboots, and The Goldbergs.

Ava Bunn plays Sam Tosh
Dr. Tosh is a medical intern and content creator.
Bunn is a LA-based sketch comedian whose solo show is called Late Bloomers. She recently guest-starred on an episode of A Man On The Inside.

David Gridley plays Blake Lewis
Dr. Lewis is the stereotypical overconfident intern on Team JD, a.k.a. medical. There's always at least one, right?
Gridley is a working actor who has appeared on The Rookie, High Potential, Criminal Minds, and All American. He also had a small role in The DUFF.

Amanda Morrow plays Dashana Trainor
Dr. Trainor is a surgical intern.
Morrow is based in New York, which of course means she's been on an episode of Law & Order: SVU. You'll see her next in the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Rachel Bilson plays Charlie
Charlie is "a beautiful and elusive visitor at Sacred Heart," according to Deadline.
Bilson starred alongside Braff in The Last Kiss. She became a household name playing Summer on The OC. The actress also played the titular role in Hart of Dixie and recurred on Season 5 of Nashville.

Lisa Gilroy plays Lily
Lily is a harp player posted in the hospital's lobby.
Gilroy is a comedian familiar to those who listen to the podcast "Comedy Bang! Bang!" and/or watch a lot of Dropout. You might also know her from an episode of the first season of Jury Duty, or from a recurring role on Interior Chinatown.

Andy Ridings plays Wes
According to Deadline, Wes is a pilot who delivers organs for transplants.
Ridings is one of those working actors you could know from *literally* anything. So, to toss out some suggestions: The Other Two, The Rookie, The Great Indoors, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia... All My Children.
