Alien: Earth, the FX series from Noah Hawley set a couple years before Ridley Scott’s iconic horror-but-in-outer-space movie Alien, has a cast of international cuties that you’re gonna wanna become fans of before they get attacked by xenomorphs. Make this your preferred guide to the cast and characters of Alien: Earth. (Also vv helpful if you’re watching between your fingers and missed some crucial information.) There are robots, soldiers, corporate geniuses, and Peter Pan references galore! All of your “what do I know them from” and “how can I follow them” questions answered here.

Fair warning: A lot of the cast is not on Instagram, which given the nature of this show as a warning about the dangers of technology and big corporations... good for them! Couldn't be me, but, good for them. Also, look out for guest star appearances from Richa Moorjani a.k.a. Kamala on Never Have I Ever and Karen Aldridge aka Ms. Reghabi on Severance. They’re members of a space crew that experiences… an event… in the pilot. (It’s a crash. Their spaceship crashes on Earth. Yay!)

Sydney Chandler as Wendy

Wendy is the world's first hybrid: a synthetic robot who has been "uploaded" with the mind and memory of a human. When she was alive, she was a terminally ill child named Marcy. She chose her new name from Peter Pan and misses her brother a lot.

Chandler has done unsettling science fiction before. She appeared in Olivia Wilde's Don't Worry Darling as Violet, a fellow newcomer to the seemingly idyllic community alongside Florence Pugh's Alice. She also appeared in the American adaptation of SKAM, a miniseries about the Sex Pistols called Pistol, and the Apple TV+ series Sugar with Colin Farrell and Kirby.

Alex Lawther as Joe a.k.a. Hermit

Joe, who prefers to be called Hermit, is a medic working for the Prodigy corporation's army. He also happens to be Marcy's older brother, and therefore now Wendy's brother.

Lawther starred in The End of the F***ing World on Netflix and the Black Mirror episode "Shut Up and Dance." He had a memorable role in Andor as the revolutionary thinker Nemik. (Even you didn't watch the Star Wars Disney+ series, I bet you've seen some of his quotes on social media.) He's a prolific stage actor as well, and if you don't recognize him from The Last Duel and the Starz Howard's End miniseries, check those out!

Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh

Kirsh is a full synthetic, like totally AI walking around in a humanoid body, whose job is to take care of the hybrids. In the history of the Alien franchise, it's not always safe to trust a synth.

Olyphant can typically found on the ranch and Western-adjacent shows like Justified and Deadwood. Even the character he played in a Star Wars Disney+ show, Cobb Vanth on The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, had a major cowboy vibe. You might also know him from Daisy Jones and the Six, Santa Clarita Diet, Once Upon A Time... in Hollywood, or as himself on The Good Place.

Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier

A child prodigy now grown up, so to speak, who founded the Prodigy company and is a trillionaire. On paper, he's the Peter Pan to the Lost Boys. He's definitely a manchild. But go ahead and Google "cavalier hat" and tell me what/who that reminds you of...

Blenkin made his professional stage debut as Scorpius Malfoy, replacing actor Anthony Boyle who originated the part. Some of his notable television roles prior to Alien: Earth include The Sandman, The Witcher: Blood Origin, Peaky Blinders the Black Mirror episode "Loch Henry," and maybe most importantly the miniseries Mary & George as Prince Charles opposite Nicholas Galitzine.

Babou Ceesay as Morrow

A cyborg, or "cybernetically enhanced human," who is the only survivor of the USCSS Maginot when it crashes to Earth (the afore-mentioned event) with a Xenomorph and other horrors on board. His robot part, BTW, is a point weapon that protrudes from his hand. Kinda like a hook...

If you love watching television shows about crime set in the United Kingdom, chances are you're familiar with this actor's work. Ceesay starred in the 2017 Showtime series Guerrilla, the 2024 Disney+ mystery series Shardlake, British procedural drama Wolfe, (in which he plays the TITULAR ROLE), and the British crime series We Hunt Together. If that genre isn't your bag, you might know him as Pilgrim on the Netflix series Into the Badlands.

Essie Davis as Dame Silvia

Silvia and her husband Arthur are married scientists who work at Prodigy and, with Kirsh, take care of the hybrids. She's kind of like their therapist, helping them cope with their new adult bodies and overall emotional wellness.

Davis played Lady Crane, the actress who befriended Arya Stark, on Game of Thrones. She was also in The Babadook. Australian audiences know her as the fictional private detective Phryne Fisher in Miss Fisher's Murders, a popular series and spin-off movie. You might also know her from One Day and Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix!

David Rysdahl as Arthur

Arthur takes care of the tech side of hybrid maintenance.

Rysdahl worked with Hawley before as one of the leads of the fifth season of Fargo. His film credits include Cathy Yan's Dead Pigs and the Hulu film No Exit. He was, like so many other members of this cast, in an episode of Black Mirror. And alongside every actor you know and their brother, he was in Oppenheimer.

Adarsh Gourav as Slightly

One of the hybrids, named by Wendy after one of Peter Pan's Lost Boys. He becomes good friends with another boy called Smee.

Gourav starred in the 2021 film The White Tiger, earning an Independent Spirit Award nomination and a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor, and shows like the Apple TV+ series Extrapolations, as well as Guns & Gulaabs and Hostel Daze.

Kit Young as Tootles

One of the hybrids, named by Wendy after one of Peter Pan's Lost Boys. He's very interested in science.

Shadow and Bone fans know Young well as Jesper, one of the Crows. He was also in the Netflix movie The School for Good and Evil. Mostly, he's a theatre actor. He played Lysander in a Bridge Theatre production of A Midsummer Night's Dream starring Gwendoline Christie that you used to be able to stream and ab-so-lute-ly should when it comes back to NT Live At Home. Come for the Shakespeare comedy, stay for the Beyonce needle drop.

Jonathan Ajayi as Smee

One of the hybrids, named by Wendy after Captain Hook's right-hand man. (This deviation is not explained... yet.) He's good friends with Slightly.

Ajayi was one of the main characters in a BBC series that aired on Peacock in the United States called Noughts + Crosses. He was also a lead in the second series of the crime procedural Vigil. Like so many others in this cast, he's also a stage actor and you can rent and/or stream a play he was in: Three Sisters.

Erana James as Curly

One of the hybrids, named by Wendy after one of Peter Pan's Lost Boys. Before the transfer, she was a wheelchair user.

Fans of the The Wilds know James well. The New Zealander played Toni on that series on Prime Video. Some of her other recent credits include films like Uproar, We Were Dangerous, and the series Bad Behaviour. She was also a background performer in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug back in the day. That feels like a a New Zealand graduation requirement, but it's actually so cool!

Lily Newmark as Nibs

One of the hybrids, named by Wendy after one of Peter Pan's Lost Boys. Before the transfer, she was sick all of the time.

Newmark is a former model you might know from Emerald City, 3 Body Problem, Temple, Cursed, and Sex Education. She also had a small role in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Adrian Edmondson as Atom Eins

Boy Kavalier's well-dressed right hand man.

Despite his stoic appearance on this show, Edmondson is primarily known as an iconic comic actor and presenter in the UK. He was in an alt comedy duo called The Dangerous Brothers as well as a group called The Comic Strip. He's married to another member of that group known for Absolutely Fabulous and/or French and Saunders, the equally iconic Jennifer Saunders.

Diêm Camille as Siberia

One of Hermit's army buddies.

You might know Camille from Alex Rider, The Wheel of Time, and Washington Black. She also plays one of the other teachers in the incredible 2020 film Another Round.

Moe Bar-El as Rashidi

Another one of Hermit’s military buddies.

Bar-El is known for the Apple TV+ series Tehran, the film Femme, and has a small role in Dune Part II.

Sandra Yi Sencindiver as Yutani

The current CEO of Weyland-Yutani, one of the five companies ruling the Earth and beyond. Fans of the franchise know this company and its priorities very well, and met a member of the Weyland family in the film Prometheus. This is the first take, on screen, of that other side.

Science fiction and fantasy fans might know Sencindiver from The Wheel of Time, Foundation, and the Assassin’s Creed video games. She was also, maybe appropriately, on the series Geek Girl and wrote/directed/starred in a short film called Seeking Hwa Sun.
