  • Taylor gave multiple statements to media outlets during a Bachelorette press event last night.

Dakota Mortensen has yet to give a statement on reports that he and Taylor Frankie Paul are involved in an open "domestic assault investigation," but he’s allegedly upset about how everything went down upon her return from The Bachelorette.

“He’s feeling hurt and disappointed by how everything unfolded when she came back to Utah,” a source tells Us Weekly. They add, in part, that Dakota “really wanted” to give his ex space to “have her moment,” and that he was "trying to be supportive and stay out of the way, even when things were difficult between them.”

Meanwhile, Taylor has given statements to both People and Us Weekly in the wake of her and Dakota’s alleged domestic incident dominating the news cycle.

She told told Us Weekly, “There’s more to the context to everything and it’s unfortunate. It’s been hard. And it sucks to be in this position. And the mother that I am, that is something I will always stand my ground on. I believe that I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well. So the headlines that are out right now are very hard to see because that’s not the truth of it. I have always treated my children with respect and I’ve never touched them. So it’s been really hard.”

And she told People, “Honestly, just like, my heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time. Just the timing is hard, and it's a big deal. I feel like every premiere that I've experienced, I've never enjoyed fully, so this is another one... it's extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today […] It's just heavy. It's a heavy time, and it's unfortunate. I'm struggling for sure, but also at the same time I feel like if I don't show up, then I'm just giving these opportunities away and not enjoying what we've worked on and something super exciting that's coming. I just feel like it was the right thing to do... show up even though it's hard.”
