Look, the Carriage Scene™ was hot, but Bridgerton pulled off its steamiest—quite literally—scene yet in season 4 when Sophie and Benedict hooked up in a bathtub. Honestly, it was perfection, but apparently filming took for-ev-er and resulted in Yerin Ha getting full-body hives.
Speaking on Capital Breakfast, Yerin said, “There’s a scene where we are in a bathtub and basically I put baby powder all on me because I was told it would help dry my skin to put the intimacy wear on with my tape, and then basically the next day after the bathtub, I got hives all over my body, and I got folliculitis, so I and needed a steroid cream! But I blame myself, because I think it was a combination of baby powder and the bathwater. So it’s me—I’m a sensitive gal!”
According to the NIH, folliculitis “is a common skin condition that usually involves infection of the hair follicle. While this condition is typically benign, prompt recognition can aid in the improvement of quality of life of patients with this condition.”
Oh, and Luke Thompson noted that the scene took a full seven hours to film, so it’s no wonder there were issues from sitting in a tepid body of water for that long! But, ya know, the bathtub scene will go down in Bridgerton history, so at least there’s that?
