Spoilers for The Traitors season 4 below!

The Traitors truly brings so much to the table, from Alan Cumming’s sickening wardrobe and unexpected duos (ahem, Dylan Efron and Boston Rob???) to straight-up murrrrrder in plain sight. But what season four Faithful Ron Funches never expected from his time in the Scottish castle was a life-altering diagnosis. After fans of the show had speculated he might have had a developmental condition, the comedian came forward and revealed he’s potentially been diagnosed with autism in a series of social media posts.

“Well the internet told me I was autistic and was right,” Ron wrote on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, January 22. “You win this round.”

The Loot star also took a moment to shut down other fan theories surrounding his sexuality, adding, “Still not gay yet.”

He then closed out his message, writing, “Thanks @thetraitorsus for helping me find out more about me through some type of cruel trauma.”

As Ron comes to terms with his potential diagnosis, he also opened up about his experiencing raising his son, Malcolm, who was diagnosed with autism at two years old.

“I honestly didn’t know I myself had Autism I thought I was just an ally and parent of an autistic child,” he wrote, in part, on Threads. “But the way I felt I wasn’t being comprehended or understood while I thought I was being direct and seeing some of my own mannerisms made start the process of going to get a diagnosis but I won’t be comfortable calling myself autistic until my diagnosis is done.”

This development comes after Ron was banished from The Traitors castle during the show’s sixth episode, which aired on January 22. He was targeted for his suspicion about Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams in the season’s second episode, which ultimately led to her banishment at the time.

Ron had still been facing criticism from his fellow Faithfuls, including Real Housewives of New York’s Dorinda Medley, who deemed him a “Housewife Hunter.” Now, the comedian is reflecting on his interactions with Dorinda after a fan on Threads said that her comments about him “hit harder” in the wake of his autism diagnosis.

“Kind of another example how unconscious biases run rampant on reality TV,” the fan wrote, to which Ron responded, “Oh she has conscious bias.”

He continued, “She said some truly terrible things to me but since they were deeply personal and outside of gameplay they were never shown. Just me blowing up at her ‘out of nowhere.’”

Dorinda has yet to respond to Ron’s allegations, but there’s a chance we’ll find out more at The Traitors reunion later in the season.
