*Contains major spoilers for Netflix's Run Away*

Ever since the series dropped last week, we have been hooked on Netflix's Run Away. The streamer's latest collaboration with thriller author Harlan Coben follows the story of Simon Greene, whose daughter goes missing and he stops at nothing to find her, and in doing so finds himself plunged into an even bigger mystery.

In fact, the mysteries, plot twists and shocking revelations keep going throughout all eight episodes. And while the majority of the loose ends are tied up, there's one major plot hole fans can't stop talking about.

As well as Simon's missing daughter Paige, there's another missing person too—Henry Thorpe. Henry is the adopted son of a wealthy business owner Sebastian Thorpe and has gone missing, and so Sebastian hires private investigator Elena Ravenscroft (Ruth Jones) to find his son.

Thanks to Sebastian's request, it brings Elena and Simon together and they end up trying to investigate the various disappearances and murders taking place. By the end of the series it becomes clear that Henry, along with Aaron, Damien and Kevin are the illegitimate children of the leader of a cult called Beacon of the Shining Truth. Dee Dee and Ash are tasked with murdering the four sons in order to stop his children having any chance at gaining their inheritance at the cult.

While Damien and Kevin are murdered by the duo, and Aaron also meets his death (although not at the hands of Dee Dee and Ash), Henry, alive or dead, is never recovered by the end of the series. And many fans are not happy about it.

Taking to social media, one viewer of the show wrote on X: "Just finished watching run away on Netflix, can anyone tell me what happened to Henry the one the PI was looking for? Have they just forgotten about him and why had Paige been messaging him I can’t work it out. Have I missed a scene or something."

And another said: "So is it just me or does Run Away on Netflix just never resolve what happened to Henry? Did I miss something??"

So what did actually happen to Henry? Well, while the answers aren't explicitly explained in the series, we can look to the Harlan Coben novel the series is based on to find out what happened.

In the novel of the same name, Dee Dee speaks about the men they've killed and how they covered up the crimes, saying: "One was shot in a robbery. One committed suicide. One is just missing, probably a runaway. One should be, I don't know, stabbed, maybe by a drug-addled homeless nut."

As in the show, the one shot in the robbery was Damien, Kevin's death was made to look like suicide and the stabbing does actually line up with Aaron, even if they didn't kill him. This only leaves Henry, whose death is then made to look like he simply ran away from home and will always be missing.

So yes, it appears that sadly Dee Dee and Ash got to him and killed him before Elena could find him.

Run Away is available on Netflix now.
