Hacking into computers is one thing, but hacking into someone’s mind? Now that’s some next level espionage and precisely what intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Simu Liu) has to grapple with throughout the course of Peacock’s brand new spy thriller series The Copenhagen Test. After discovering that someone has infiltrated his mind — thereby granting the perpetrator a front row seat to watch and listen to everything he sees and does—Alexander works with the government to maintain the ruse, allowing the hackers to think he’s oblivious to their existence in the hopes of stopping them for good. But in doing this, he basically becomes a prisoner of his own mind. (Anyone else getting some serious Matrix vibes from this? Where’s Morpheus with the red pill when you need him?!)

So how do you outsmart someone that’s essentially living in your head? To answer that, you’ll just have to watch the show to see how it all plays out and hopefully uncover, once and for all, who is behind this epic breach in national security. But when exactly can this covert viewing process get underway?

Here’s everything you need to know about The Copenhagen Test’s season 1 episode release schedule.

When does The Copenhagen Test season 1 premiere?

The series kicked off just two days after Christmas on Saturday, December 27 on Peacock, and it's a perfect way to fill the time between the release of Stranger Things Volume 2 and the series finale. Sure, it’s a different type of science fiction story, but Alexander’s world gets turned upside-down (get it?), so the parallels are there, my friends.

When will the next episode of The Copenhagen Test drop?

If you were hoping this series was going for the slow-burn approach, think again. While some shows opt to release on a weekly basis, The Copenhagen Test dropped all eight episodes of the season at once on December 27, meaning you can watch Alexander’s journey as fast (or as slow) as you would like. Do you want to binge watch the whole thing in one sitting? Go for it! Would you rather space it out in-between various Christmas movie marathons? That’s fine too. There are no rules in the magical week between Christmas and New Year’s, so you do you!

Will there be a season 2?

At this time, Peacock has yet to announce any official season 2 renewal, however, it’s definitely something you shouldn’t rule out. Depending on how the season plays out, there could certainly be ways to continue Alexander’s story—at least that's what the cast is hoping for.

"Alexander’s been a gift," Liu told Entertainment Weekly. "He's an important character: a Chinese American spy fighting for his country, making his parents proud, making his country proud. I'd love to keep exploring that." Series creator Thomas Brandon echoed that sentiment in the same interview, teasing to the outlet that the season 1 finale "opens a much bigger question" about why all of this has happened, which would ultimately "lead us into season 2."

So the drive to continue the series is there, but as for whether or not Peacock will agree? For now, that's classified. In the meantime, here’s a breakdown of the complete episode release schedule for The Copenhagen Test season 1:
