The closer we get to the Dancing With the Stars season 34 finale, the more judging conspiracy theories come out of the woodwork. And following Danielle Fishel’s shock elimination during Week 8, fans are more convinced than ever that DWTS scoring is biased this season—particularly the scores provided by Carrie Ann Inaba. An insider even recently slammed Carrie Ann’s judging to Page Six, claiming, “The judging was very skewed.”
The insider went on to note how show the DWTS judges “would be extremely critical of Danielle, yet they would praise [fellow Season 34 contestant] Andy Richter.” They added, “If they’re actually judging, Andy would be held to the same standard.”
If anyone would agree with this insider’s claims, it would be Danielle’s Boy Meets World costars, Will Friedle and Rider Strong, who called out Carrie Ann on their Pod Meets World podcast just days before Danielle’s elimination.
“Carrie Ann has her favorites, and she’ll have two or three that no matter what they do, they could walk on the stage, trip, hit their face, and she’d be like: ‘You tried so hard, 9!’” Will said during the episode. “Danielle could do the best thing where she’s doing triple flips and she’s like: ‘You’ve got to hold your shoulders different, too,’ and it’s like, ‘What the fuck?’”
Rider chimed in with, “I’m with you, man. I held back the anger. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. At this point, it’s starting to feel like a personal vendetta.”
And what does Carrie Ann think of all this? Though she hasn’t responded to these latest accusations, she did reply to a fan who accused her of showing favoritism to Dylan Efron, writing, “It’s okay to disagree about what we see. That’s what makes our show great. You have a say in the matter. We want you to vote for what you love and believe in. I appreciate your comment and the way you expressed your feelings. Thank you for your passion and your opinion.”
