Today in sentences we didn't think we'd write, Lana De Rey's ex-fiancé Clayton Johnson has seemingly been cast on Taylor Frankie Paul's upcoming season of The Bachelorette.

ABC published Taylor's list of potential boyfriends on Facebook earlier today (October 23), and fans were quick to notice a familiar face:

The only information ABC offered was his age (35) and his location (Nashville, TN), but viewers in the Venn diagram that is "Lana Del Rey Fans x Bachelor Nation" realized this is none other than Clayton, aka @claywatch.

Lana and Clayton got engaged back in December 2020 after meeting on a dating app. Their relationship was best described as a whirlwind based on the fact that they met sometime around August—just a few months before their engagement.

However, the couple called it quits in September 2021, with a source telling The Mirror, "Lockdown had its struggles and they have sadly gone their separate ways." But they were still making music together as of a few years later—at least based on Clayton's Insta.

He wrote in July 2024, "Back in January, Lana and I sat in Nashville free styling songs on an acoustic guitar about imaginary animals and Oliver’s chew toys. I showed her a few songs I had been working on, and played her a song idea from a different session. She had a vision for it. Her and Jack gave me a call when she got home and asked if we could rework this voice note idea that I sent over for 'Tough.'"
