• Former dancer Hilaria Baldwin just made her debut as a celeb contestant on Dancing With the Stars season 34.
  • Hilaria’s husband of 12 years, Alec Baldwin, crashed her early rehearsal sessions and even jokingly danced with her pro partner, Gleb Savchenko.
  • Sources have weighed in, claiming that Alec has been a “nightmare” on set as he’s “barking orders at producers, nitpicking camera angles, and even demanding edits.”

Dancing With the Stars season 34 is in full swing, and contestant Hilaria Baldwin is receiving support from her husband, Alec Baldwin...though, according to inside sources, perhaps too much support.

During the season premiere on Sept. 16, a teaser clip showed Alec watching Hilaria rehearse her first dance with her pro partner, Gleb Savchenko. In the video, he crashed her early sessions and even asked, “May I cut in?” before jokingly dancing with Gleb instead of his wife of 12 years.

Hilaria seemed to find the whole thing funny, as did partner Gleb, who gushed about Alec during an interview with the New York Post. “I was starstruck. I was like, ‘Oh my God, a dream come true. I need some acting lessons.’ It was amazing,” he said of Alec. “Such a cool guy, so supportive. He came to our rehearsals a couple of times. We danced together. He gave us some notes, too.”

“He always has notes,” Hilaria added. “Always notes!” And according to new reports, Alec didn’t just have notes for his wife and her partner.

Per Rob Shuter’s Substack, the 30 Rock star is a “backstage nightmare” who has been “barking orders at producers, nitpicking camera angles, and even demanding edits” behind the scenes.

“He was talking over everyone,” an on-set source told Rob. “Telling the director where to put cameras, instructing producers on how to cut segments—it was chaos. Alec thinks he knows better than people who’ve done this for decades.”

Another source echoed a similar sentiment, claiming that Alec is “in the control room, he’s on the floor—you can’t escape him.”

For what it’s worth: Hilaria seemed to have appreciated her family’s support during her big debut—especially since she and Gleb received the second-highest score of the night. The performance marked the former dancer’s first time doing choreography since a hip injury that put her out of commission in 2009.

“This was her life until she got insured, so she’s just going to give it everything she has,” Alec said of Hilaria during footage that aired prior to her performance. “And I’m proud of her, very proud of her.”

In the meantime, let’s relive Hilaria’s cha cha, shall we?
