And Just Like That... another continuity error slipped through the cracks.
Fans are calling out HBO's Sex and the City spin-off for what looks to be a pretty major continuity error thanks to Lisa telling Charlotte that her dad died. Again. This week's episode featured Lisa breaking the news to her friend over the phone (and then planning an entire funeral which everyone attended), but viewers were quick to point out that she'd actually already dropped this info. Literally allllll the way back in Season 1, Episode 2, when she told Charlotte "I was exactly the same when my father died last year."
Obviously, the comments on this TikTok are hilarious, so here's a brief sampling:
Next episode…Carrie and Big having dinner.
Her dad died, came back to dinner and died again?
Me trying to get a day off work
The SATC multiverse contains multitudes beyond our comprehension
Okay, but also—as some people are pointing out—maybe Lisa had two dads! Gonna go ahead and assume that's the reason until further notice.
Before we go, this is certainly not the first continuity error in this show. Bustle has a whole list, but there's the fact that Steve's bar was originally located on Mulberry Street, which is in Manhattan, and And Just Like That... randomly changed the location to Brooklyn. There's even another error relating to a dead parent: in AJLT season 2, Harry mentions that his mom has been dead for ten years, but we were previously told that his mom was dead when he met Charlotte. Which was way longer than ten years ago!
