‘Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark’: Are Colt and Kelsey Still Together?

Netflix dating shows have a special place in our chaotic reality filled hearts, and the latest one to capture our attention is Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark. The new series dropped on the streamer last week and follows a group of singles who think they are entering a sexy motel to explore new connections, however they're actually there to be reunited with their long term booty calls or “sneaky links” to see if they can make a relationship work with the existing connection.

And the one couple people can't stop talking about are Colt and Kelsey. So what's the tea? Are these two still together since leaving the motel? Here's what you need to know.

Colt is a 32-year-old freelance model and sales consultant who hails from Nashville, Tennessee. Kelsey was one of the series' late arrivals and is also from Nashville. She's 24 years old and is a model.

Ok so Colt entered the show on day one and was greeted with his previous sneaky link Avery, a 26-year-old recruiter, who he had originally “dated” in Nashville before appearing on the show. They quickly decided that there wasn't anything in their connection worth pursuing.

Colt then got to know Angelique, a 30-year-old law student from San Fransisco. They got on super well and were hands down one of the strongest couples in the early episodes, they were even chosen to get the suite alone for themselves for the night.

However, in episode four, a number of new arrivals were introduced to the motel, one of them being Kelsey. Colt and Kelsey immediately hit it off (like making out on the first date) and Colt minimized how much of a connection he had with Angelique.

As the season progressed Colt ended up seeing both women, publicly committing to Angelique while also talking to Kelsey, calling her at night. However, then Colt started to question his connection and future relationship with Angelique because of their different religious beliefs. Colt also got irritated at Angelique for having Brandon lick cream off her upper thigh...despite Kelsey doing the exact same to Colt's abs.

Angelique had enough of the double standards and ended things with Colt. He then fully pursued Kelsey and they grew pretty close very quickly. They did have some issues as the show progressed. Colt could never give Kelsey a proper answer as to whether or not he slept with Angelique, and when his mom came to visit in the last episode, she said she wanted to teach Kelsey to dress more “modestly.” But at the end of the season, they chose to leave the motel together, with Colt confessing to Kelsey he loved her.

No, Colt and Kelsey are not still together now. And, yes, there was a lot of drama.

In an interview with Swoon released one week after Sneaky Links premiered, Colt said that he and Kelsey broke up less than a month after filming wrapped at the Motel. He apparently old the outlet that, despite both living in Nashville, they just didn't get to see each other in the real world as much as they had while filming. This time apart was “ultimately what kind of drew [us] apart,” he said.

Despite the split, Colt insisted that they were still friendly and cordial, noting that their paths have crossed “a handful of times” since. As for his relationship with Angelique, Colt says they're in contact. “We follow each other on everything. And so we swipe up on stories and things like that,” he said, adding that they have spoken on the phone to go over what happened at the Motel. He even admitted that they “kept staying flirty,” but made clear that they were not together.

Colt might say that he and Kelsey broke up because they couldn't get enough time together, but Kelsey tells a different story. In a separate interview with Swoon, Kelsey revealed that the breakup was “literally immediate” and they were over right after the cameras stopped rolling. And it gets worse.

Kelsey claims that she first found out a split was coming from Brandon Limeres, who mentioned that Colt had said something about having a “hard conversation” after they wrapped. Back at the hotel after filming the finale, Kelsey says she “had a crash out,” realizing that their relationship wasn't going to work out. “I was lied to this whole time. Because there's no way that man actually loves me,” she thought at the time. “There's no way those words are true. He is doing it for show.”

After the two went home to Nashville, Kelsey says, she didn't hear from Colt for a week, despite the fact that he hadn't officially broken up with her. “There was no conversation until I finally texted him,” she said. “I think it was a week after we had been back home, and I was like, “Hey, do I not deserve just a little bit of respect or even just a conversation?’ I mean, you literally just said ‘I love you’ on national television, and we haven't even spoken since.”

So you can imagine how Kelsey felt when she read Colt's original post-show interview. “We literally did not try to have a relationship at all because this man went ghost,” she said. “There was no relationship at all.”

One person Kelsey is still on good terms with is Angelique. She told Swoon that the two have become good friends, and that Angelique was equally upset by Colt's version of events. “I have that people are trying to pin us against each other. We've come to terms with the situation and have both seen it for what it is,” she said.
