A relaxing week at a wellness retreat may sound like the tranquil vacation of your dreams, but as Nine Perfect Strangers has taught us, those types of things can sometimes spiral into a living nightmare — at least when Nicole Kidman’s Masha Dmitrichenko is left in charge. Following a similar anthology series format to season 1, the second season of the Hulu series will introduce a new array of guests checking into one of Masha’s exclusive retreats, this time located in the Austrian Alps. But what some of them might not realize about their host is her penchant for using psychedelic drugs on her clients — typically without their knowledge or consent.
How will they fare against her unusual and highly unethical treatments? You’ll have to tune into the May 21 premiere to find out, but in the meantime, here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about the cast and characters appearing in Nine Perfect Strangers season 2…
Nicole Kidman as Masha
Masha is the founder and leader of the retreat, who secretly drugs her guests in the hopes of healing them from whatever inner demons they are facing from their past. As we learned in season 1, she uses this method on herself as well as means to hallucinate seeing her deceased daughter, who died in a car accident at the age of 7.
Listing all of Kidman’s acting credentials would take far too long (seriously, the woman is in a ton of stuff), but some of her most prominent projects have included Big Little Lies, Babygirl, The Perfect Couple, Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge, and The Others. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Annie Murphy as Imogen
Not much is known about Murphy’s character, Imogen, aside from the fact that she came to the retreat to work on her relationship with her mother, Victoria. (So, not all nine of these guests are perfect strangers then.) But, based on the trailer, she’s very curious as to what her host is like. Though, you know what they say about curiosity…
Murphy is best known for playing Alexis Rose on Schitt’s Creek, however, she’s also starred in Kevin Can F**k Himself, Russian Doll, and Black Mirror.

Christine Baranski as Victoria
Baranski will be portraying the role of Victoria, Imogen’s mother and another new client of Masha’s. She is skeptical about the use or effectiveness of psychedelics, but signed up for the retreat as a way to bond with her daughter. And while she may not know the full extent of what she’s checked herself into, at the very least she can take comfort in knowing that she’s going to look fabulous the entire time. Seriously, her wardrobe is flawless! No notes!
Speaking of flawlessness, Baranski herself has quite the impressive resume, having popped up in numerous, well-known projects throughout her successful career. Though she’s probably most recognized for her portrayal as Diane Lockhart in both The Good Wife as well as its spinoff series The Good Fight, her other credits also include Mamma Mia, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Cruel Intentions, Chicago, Into the Woods, and The Big Bang Theory, where she played Leonard’s mother. Baranski is also currently starring in the period drama series The Gilded Age.

Henry Golding as Peter
Golding plays Peter, one of Masha’s new clients who seems to develop an instant attraction to Imogen upon their arrival. He also seems to be one of the few people who doesn’t trust Masha and grows immediately suspicious of her tactics, all under the guise of therapy.
Golding is best known for his roles in Crazy Rich Asians, A Simple Favor, and Last Christmas.

Murray Bartlett as Brian
Bartlett plays Brian, a former star of a kids TV show (until “he was canceled,” according to Imogen) and another one of Masha’s clients who’s about to experience a form of therapy he’s never seen before. But will it ultimately prove to be helpful? You’ll just have to tune in and see.
Bartlett made a lasting impression on audiences for his portrayal as Armond in the first season of The White Lotus. He’s also appeared in The Last of Us, Nashville, Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, White Collar, and Looking.

Dolly de Leon as Agnes
Leon will play the role of Sister Agnes, though much about the character has yet to be revealed aside from the fact that she’s a former nun — emphasis on the word former. So what prompted her to leave the convent/monastery? According to her, she claims “no one was there,” presumably referencing God while praying. “I was talking to myself,” she adds in the teaser. Sounds like a classic loss of faith journey, but will her beliefs be restored by the end of the season? Only time will tell.
Leon has a number of projects tied to her name, but she first achieved international fame after starring in the satirical comedy Triangle of Sadness, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination, making her the first-ever Filipino actor to be nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category. She also starred and served as executive producer in the 2024 film Ghostlight.

King Princess as Tina
Few details are known about Princess’ character, Tina, aside from her name and the fact that she was once considered to be a piano prodigy — a title she did not like being called.
This will serve as the singer/songwriter’s very first acting credit, but it won’t be her last. Princess, whose birth name is Mikaela Straus, is set to appear in the upcoming biopic Song Sung Blue, which centers around a Neil Diamond tribute band.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Wolfie
Richardson-Sellers plays the character Woflie, a professional violinist who’s romantically involved with Tina. But if they were expecting for this to be a little romantic getaway for the two of them, they may be in for a rude awakening. These newcomers are on the brink of falling down Masha’s drug-induced rabbit hole.
The actress first made her mark on the small screen on The Vampire Diaries spinoff series The Originals, but she’s also appeared in The Kissing Booth 2, The Kissing Booth 3, and Legends of Tomorrow.

Aras Aydın as Matteo
Aydin will play the part of Matteo, who comes to the retreat as Victoria’s date, but something tells me that he’s more to this guy than meets the eye. He’s not just a pretty face and I can’t wait to see what parts of his past end up getting uncovered.
The actor, who is Turkish, has numerous acting credits in projects from his homeland for both film and TV alike, but this will serve as his acting debut to American audiences.

Lucas Englander as Martin
Englander will also join the ranks in the Hulu drama series playing the character of Martin, a pharmacologist who, it seems, will be studying the medical side effects that the drugs have on Masha’s clientele.
Prior to Nine Perfect Strangers, Englander can be seen in projects like The Witcher, Transatlantic, and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

Mark Strong as David
Strong will portray the role of David, a billionaire who seems pretty confident that he doesn’t need to be healed (which pretty much guarantees that he absolutely does need to be). And while there’s no other details are known about this character, it’s worth noting that Strong has a reputation for playing a wide array of villains throughout his career. Perhaps that pattern will continue here?
Prior to this series, Strong played the part of Lord Henry Blackwood in the Sherlock Holmes film and Prince Septimus in Stardust. He also starred as Sinestro in Green Lantern with additional credits in The Penguin, Cruella, and Murder Mystery 2.

Lena Olin as Helena
Olin is tackling the character of Helena, Masha’s teacher and the woman who is responsible for introducing her to the special hallucinogen she uses on the clients. Helena wants Masha and Martin to work together, but trust is key and something they both seem to have in short supply.
Many will recognize Olin from her previous work in projects like The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Alias, Mindhunter, Remember Me, and Chocolat.
