Netflix algorithm got you down? We get it. Just because you got accidentally addicted to Love Is Blind does not mean you also want to watch Love Is Blind Sweden, Love Is Blind Mexico, Love Is Blind Japan, and so on. Okay, Netflix?! So, if you need some help sorting through the many, many titles available on the streaming service and want to stay up to date on the latest offerings, you've come to the right place. As is the case every month, for April 2025, Netflix is adding a bunch of movies and showssome brand new originals, some older projects that are streaming on the platform for the first time.

April brings a couple new seasons of zeitgeist-y shows, an action movie, and a docuseries for any true crime fans out there.

Pulse — April 3

ER, Grey's Anatomy... Pulse? Netflix is hoping to join that list of successful medical procedurals with Pulse, which is centered around a hospital in Miami. Willa Fitzgerald stars as Danny Simms, a third-year resident who is promoted to chief resident when the position opens up after Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell) is suspended. Oh, and by the way, they're also the central romance of the show.

Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing — April 9

If the word "kidfluencing" already sounds bad... well, you're on to something. This docuseries is focused on Piper Rockelle, a tween who became famous and super rich on YouTube, and her mother, Tiffany Smith, who was sued by several teenage influencers—who were part of what was known as "The Squad"—in 2022. This is for those who are intrigued by both true crime and internet culture.

Black Mirror — April 10

Kidfluencing sounds like it could be the subject of a Black Mirror episode, huh? The science fiction anthology series is back for its seventh season after a two-year break. What effed up technology will you be freaked out by this time?

Carlos Alcaraz: My Way — April 23

Tennis fans will already know the name Carlos Alcaraz. In 2022, the Spanish athlete became the youngest man to be ranked number one in the world at age 19. So, yeah, he's kind of a big deal. The docuseries Carlos Alcaraz: My Way follows the tennis star during the 2024 season.

You — April 24

Penn Badgley returns as Joe Goldberg for more stalking, more serial killing, and more... getting away with it? We'll see how that all turns out with the fifth and final season of You. What we know so far: This season sees Joe back in New York City where it all began. New additions to the cast include Anna Camp, Madeline Brewer, and Griffin Matthews.

Havoc — April 25

Tom Hardy stars in Havoc, which sounds like it will satisfy anyone looking for a classic action-thriller. Hardy plays Walker, a detective who becomes caught up in, well, all sorts of stuff you don't want to be caught up in: corruption, a botched drug deal, criminals out to get him, cops turned against him, trying to rescue a politician's son... you get the idea. Co-stars include Forest Whitaker, Timothy Olyphant, and Luis Guzmán.
