Our last few days have been taken up by one thing and one thing only—Temptation Island. From our newfound love for host Mark L Walberg (he’s on a par with MAFS Australia’s John) to chaotic threesomes and romantic revelations, the series has us hooked.
The new Netflix reality TV series sees four couples “break up” and move into two villas full of eligible and tempting singles, who they can take on dates and get to know intimately. It’s essentially the ultimate relationship test and by the end of the series, they must decide to get back together or break up and leave the island single or move on with someone they’ve met in the villa.
Ashley and Grant headed into the show together, but at the end of the series Ashley chose to leave with Danny instead. So what happened in this complicated love triangle, and are Danny and Ashley still together? Let’s dive in.
Who are Temptation Island’s Ashley and Danny?
Ashley, 28, headed into Temptation Island with her boyfriend of one and a half years, Grant. They went on the show for Grant to prove Ashley could trust him after he was unfaithful to her early on in the relationship, which has massively impacted how they trust and communicate with each other.
Danny is 22 years old and one of the guys who moves into the house with Ashley and the three other women, Alexa, Shanté and Tayler.
What happened with Ashley and Danny on Temptation Island?
When the show kicked off, Ashley remained loyal to Grant but did have chats and got to know many of the guys, including Danny.
At one of the early bonfires, Ashley watched a clip of Grant kiss and then have sex in the shower with Natalie, which went beyond the boundaries the couple had set for themselves coming into the show and also showed Ashley she couldn’t trust Grant. After watching this, she essentially declared herself single and got to know Danny and Logan.
Ashley built connections with both of the guys but ultimately felt closer to Danny. She revealed during her confessional how safe Danny made her feel during their time together and as the series progressed, she took him on more dates, including the final date.
Episode 10 was decision day for the original couples that came onto the island. Ashley reunited with Grant and was less than thrilled to see him. While he seemed more open to the idea of getting back together, Ashley shut it right down and called him out for cheating on her.
Grant ended up leaving the island alone, and Ashley chose to leave with Danny.
Are Ashley and Danny still together after Temptation Island?
Ashely and Danny may have left the island together, but their onscreen flirting didn’t exactly translate into the real world. “We talked for a little bit, but it just fizzled out,” Ashley told Tudum in an interview shared a week after the Temptation Island premiere. “We live different lifestyles, and we kind of knew that going in. I was more just trying to stay away from Grant.”
Though not romantically involved, Ashley and Danny have remained friends. “We ended up gaining a pretty cool story and connection and we’re still really good friends,” Danny told Tudum. Just this week on Instagram, she shared a sweet picture of the two of them standing in front of a rainbow with the caption, “This man always has me smiling.”
And this isn’t the first time they’ve interacted on social since the season dropped. They both follow each other and regularly comment on each other’s posts. Recently, Ashley commented on Danny’s recent Instagram post asking for him to give her hat back.
Danny also shared an Instagram Story of a clip of himself and Ashley from the final and captioned it, “Gosh we look good @ashhmoore 🥹🥹🥹,” which Ashley then reshared.
So, no, Ashley and Danny didn’t stay together after Temptation Island, but there is another castmate Ashley’s been talking to. “I still talk to Logan,” Ashley told Tudum. “I don’t know that anything will come of that, but I do think he’s a little cutie, so I still flirt with him.”
