What happens when New Yorkers invade London? For the 19th century socialites of The Buccaneers, it's more than not being able to find a good iced coffee. The Apple TV+ adaptation of Edith Wharton's novel tells the story of a group of four young women who cross the pond to make society marriage matches after one of their friends marries a young lord. It's about as chaotic and dramatic as you'd expect. If you're thinking about getting started, or already into it, here's what you need to know about when the next episode of The Buccaneers is out so you can see what happens next.

The show is not quite as saucy as Bridgerton, I have to report. It has its moments. But if you like period pieces like Pride and Prejudice and Little Women–and like them as feminist as possible–I bet you'll have fun with The Buccaneers. You might even become obsessed! The BFF and/or sisterly chemistry between Alisha Boe, Kristine Frøseth, Josie Totah, Imogen Waterhouse, and Aubri Ibrag is infectious. The first three episodes dropped on November 8, 2023. While The Buccanneers will continue to release episodes on a once-a-week basis, it kicked off with a binge. There will be eight episodes in total. However, as far as book adaptations go, it's not bad. This book was famously unfinished, too. But I do miss the days of longer seasons.

When does the next episode of The Buccaneers drop?

New episodes will be added to the streaming service on Wednesday. The eight episodes will drop over a six week period, ending on December 13. So if you wanted to watch the entire thing in one go, wait until mid-December. I tend to prefer watching shows one week at a time, but I can't deny that a show like this would make for the perfect holiday season marathon. Period romance and hot chocolate with peppermint?? A perfect combo.
