Reader beware! Uhhh, viewer beware? There's a new Goosebumps series on Disney+ and Hulu for a new generation of kids as well as adults with a nostalgic inner child to satiate. Eager for more adventures with the stories you grew up reading? Here's what we know about Goosebumps season 2.

Not gonna lie, the books and the original series adaptation of R.L. Stine's novels on Nickelodeon were too scary for baby me. Still not as scary as Are You Afraid of the Dark. (I was not what you'd call a brave kid.) But I have to respect R.L. Stine and how he got a generation obsessed with light scaries, creepies, and so much goop. I'm happy this new series exists.

Don't scare me, *is* Goosebumps renewed for season 2?

Okay, we won't, because we actually have some good news we can share! Goosebumps has been renewed for season 2, but there is a bit of a catch. The show will now be an anthology series, which means you better expect some major changes now that a whole new story will be taking place.

Who would be in Goosebumps season 2?

Season 1 has Rob Huebel, Justin Long, and Rachael Harris leading a plucky gang of newcomers. One of the executive producers is Nick Stoller, director of Bros, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and the Neighbors movies. He could probably pull some favors and bring in even more funny people in season 2 especially since it'll be completely different and trust us, he did.

David Schwimmer is leading the cast along with Ugly Betty and Love, Victor star Ana Ortiz. She portrays Jen, a dedicated police detective who remains rooted in her Brooklyn neighborhood after experiencing a tragic event that involved her friends in adolescence.

Other series regulars include Sam McCarthy and Jayden Bartels as fraternal twins Devin and Cece, respectively; Elijah M. Cooper as CJ; Galilea La Salvia as Frankie; and Francesca Noel as Alex.

What would Goosebumps season 2 be about?

I mean, you know how many Goosebumps books there are, right? The original series has over 60 novels, and there are spin-offs galore as well.

According to Disney+, "The new story begins with Devin and Cece, fraternal twins adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994."

At New York Comic Con 2024, the show's official first trailer was revealed and it features some goosebump raising bits that will definitely get your heart racing as some killer plants take over David Schwimmer's Anthony. You're going to want to see it to believe it!

"It's a horror-action comedy with great suspense," David said during the panel. "I had such a good time. I'm such a fan of horror and this was my first chance to do it. It was a blast!"

Along with Stay Out of the Basement, executive producers Hilary Winston and Rob Letterman also revealed that the other books that will be adapted are: The Haunted Car, Monster Blood, The Girl Who Cried Monster, The Ghost Next Door, and Welcome to Camp Nightmare.

When would Goosebumps season 2 be released?
