Attention, everyone: Blackpink’s Rosé just made history as the first solo K-pop artist to perform on music’s biggest night. She and Bruno Mars took to the Grammys stage to sing their hit song, “APT.,” and as expected, they brought the house down.

Both artists are up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, all for “APT.” And while Bruno has taken home 13 golden gramophones over the years, 2026 marks the first year that Rosé has ever been up for a Grammy—not to mention the first time a K-pop singer nabbed nominations in the general field categories.

Following the news of her three (!!) Grammy noms back in November, Rosé took to Instagram to express her gratitude. “i cannot believe my life. i am STILL trying to process everything,” she wrote. “thank you so so much to the @recordingacademy. this means so much to me and many many others. i’m feeling so incredibly grateful today. @brunomars look at that!!! :,) 🩷🩷🩷🩷”

During a recent appearance on Call Her Daddy, Rosé opened up about how much it meant to her to get recognized by the Recording Academy.

“This Grammy nomination, it feels like, ‘Oh my gosh! I never thought that would be possible!” she explained to host Alex Cooper. “Like, yes, Blackpink...and we’re getting so much love and I’m so grateful for that, and it’s so exciting, but that I didn’t think would be a possibility, but I feel like quite similar. So it’s like the second chapter of my life, like, ‘Oh my gosh!'”

She also talked about a potential solo tour. Of the possibility, Rosé said, “I’ve always just thought, I want to be able to create a real solid world to present to everyone. I didn’t want to feel rushed because that first solo album...the whole thing was just a learning curve, and I needed that time to really learn about the album. And so I feel like to create a whole world on stage, I need more time to build on that with extra songs as well, because right now I only have 12, and I don’t feel ready to create a whole body of work for everyone yet.”

That said, she didn’t rule out the possibility! She added, “I just want everyone to be patient. Because I feel like once I do start, I feel like I’d love it so much that I would want to do it for so long, so I don’t want to ruin that experience.”
