Attention everyone who’s made KATSEYE their entire personality: Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae just performed “Gnarly” at the 2026 Grammys, and as expected, it was everything.
The girls brought the energy to the Grammys’ Best New Artist performance medley—nabbing a spot just after Addison Rae, who sang “Fame Is a Gun”—and hit the stage in coordinated looks that took inspiration from combat gear. Expect the K-pop fan cams to be coming in over the next few days, as the girls hit every single beat and body roll like the pros they are.
Don’t believe me? Just see for yourself.
Back in November, the group received a nom for Best New Artist, as well as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song “Gabriela.”
Following the announcement, KATSEYE took to Instagram to thank fans, writing, “We can’t even believe this is real life!! two nominations?! thank you to the @recordingacademy we are truly humbled, and congrats to all the nominees today, you inspire us! we wouldn’t be here without our EYEKONS — words can’t describe how grateful we are to you 🖤”
And while KATSEYE has clearly made it their mission to become the biggest girl group in the world (I mean, they completely sold out their Beautiful Chaos Tour...), they apparently were “not expecting” their two Grammy noms.
“When we found out, we were all in tears, screaming, crying,” Lara told People earlier this month, while Sophia added that the idea of being nominated didn’t even “cross our minds.”
So...how do they feel about being first-time Grammy nominees. As Lara explained, “It means so much to be recognized among so many people that have been in the industry for so long—and people that we look up to. So many people nominated are the reason that [we are] artists in the first place. They inspired us to begin this dream and to be in KATSEYE. The fact that we're recognized among them is just insane.”
She continued, “It would just mean the world to us—not even just to win—the nomination itself means everything to us.”
