All the Wild and Surprising Cameos in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
Some characters that we never thought we would see again made their big return in Marvel's latest film!
Listen, we always knew that Marvel's latest movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, was going to bring the X-Men universe and Marvel Cinematic Universe together in a big way. And while details about this movie have been mostly kept hush, hush, now some new info is finally out there as the movie had its big premiere! And trust us when we way, it's a lot bigger than anything you could've guessed or imagined. Some major characters from Marvel's past have returned in surprising ways and yes, we are still not totally over it all. So ready to find out what some surprises are in store? Or just curious who exactly is under some of those Deadpool masks?
Here's all the big cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Chris Evans as Johnny Storm
A big chunk of the movie takes place in the void that the TVA had created to take things that should've been forgotten. But true Marvel fans will never forget that before he was Captain America, Chris Evans was Johnny Storm in the 2005 Fantastic Four film. Thankfully, we got him back again in this movie.
Jennifer Garner as Elektra
Not only did we get to see Elektra back in action again, but there is actually a really funny joke that pokes fun at her Daredevil AKA Ben Affleck that you definitely don't want to miss.
Wesley Snipes as Blade
While the next Blade movie is still completely up in the air, that doesn't mean that one doesn't already exist in this universe. Wesley Snipes made it back onto the big screen as the iconic vampire hunter and he might have an idea of what is going to happen to the reboot in the movie.
Channing Tatum as Gambit
No, we're not talking about the X-Men '97 Gambit (although, we absolutely are NOT over it). In the biggest surprise of them all, Channing Tatum appeared as a character that he actually never got to play due to some studio drama. And boy, was it worth the wait.
Henry Cavill as Wolveriene
As Deadpool travels around to different timelines to find the right Wolverine to bring back to his, he is surprised to find a different kind of Wolvey. Yes, Henry Cavill is Wolverine in another universe and that is one we wouldn't mind living in.
Dafne Keen as Laura / X23
While her appearance was spoiled before the movie's big premiere, it was still a nice surprise to see Dafne back again as X23. Now older, she has a different handle on what it takes to be a Wolverine and it's clear that the tables have turned.
Blake Lively as Ladypool
Yep, that's right! We finally know who is behind the Ladypool mask and turns out the internet was pretty correct on this one. While we never see her actually take off the mask, the movie's credits confirm that it's none other than Blake Lively playing Ladypool. In fact, it's a whole family affair as Inez and Olin also had parts as Kidpool and Babypool respectively.
Nathan Fillion as Headpool
Not only is Headpool one of the coolest popcorn buckets that you can grab from this movie, it's also a big cameo for none other than Nathan Fillion. It seems like he's everywhere in the Marvel universe after playing one of the Bodega Cat mascots in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 video game.
Matthew McConaughey as Cowboypool
We all noticed Cowboypool when he joined in with the giant Deadpool squad. While we don't see him much, the guy under the mask is actually Matthew McConaughey which makes us wonder what alternative universe that would be like.
Paul Mullin as Welshpool
The Wrexham AFC superstar traded the soccer pitch for a set for a small cameo as Welshpool. Those kicks he makes on the field definitely came in handy for this shoot.
Hulk
Okay, so like, we actually don't know which Hulk was actually on our screen cause it was a super quick moment. BUT, it's always nice to see the big old green guy. (Does this also count as a Wicked promo moment now?)
Ray Park as Toad
We haven't seen him in this role since the original X-Men back in 2000, but now he's back and working for Cassandra as he tries to survive the void.
Kelly Hu as Lady Deathstroke
The former X-2 villain has also decided to work with Cassandra in this new film and Kelly thankfully came back to play the iconic role
Aaron Stanford as Pyro
The X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand star came back to play his iconic fire-wielding character and his story gets a lot more complicated as more details slowly unfold.
Dania Ramirez as Callisto
The leader of the Omegas is back and wild as ever thanks to Dania's big cameo in the film.
Jason Flemyng as Azazel
Speak of the devil! The iconic mutant came back and made his presence known in big return back to the universe!
Taylor Mane as Sabretooth
It was a fight that fans were always hoping to re-live and now they got the chance with Taylor Mane's big return as Sabretooth.
Ant-Man (Sort Of)
We see Ant-Man's suit in the void and it is HUGE! Oh, and it's also Cassandra's secret lair so this Ant-Man is clearly very dead.
Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15
This movie takes place around the TVA, so it only makes sense that we have one of its most important hunters make an appearance.
Jon Favreau as Happy
Happy is back and he even is the one who takes a meeting with Deadpool himself after he tries to apply for the Avengers. Whether he officially counts as a member is still to be debated, but no matter what, we're always glad to see him on our screen.
