Prime Video announced on May 10, 2024 that the highly anticipated sequel to Red, White & Royal Blue is in development at Amazon MGM Studios.

“It’s official, a Red, White & Royal Blue sequel is in the works!” the streaming service tweeted, alongside a photo of a cake with an American and British flag. Woohoo!

Both Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez will be reprising their roles as Alex and Henry for the sequel. Because what would the movie be without them, right?

As for the rest of the cast—such as Uma Thurman, Clifton Collins Jr, Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, and Stephen Fry—we’ll have to wait and see!

The first film ended with Alex and Henry going public with their relationship and Alex’s mom, Ellen, winning the election.

Now for the sequel, the plot will revolve around the pair attending the wedding of Henry's sister's Bea. During the teaser video to confirm production was happening, Taylor said, "Oh, I did want to say that we are here for Bea's wedding."

And Nicholas then added, "Yeah, we just wanted to clarify. Don't get confused, that's a long way off at this point."

Okay, so we may not be getting Henry and Alex's wedding, but could an engagement be on the cards?
