Longtime friends and collaborators Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are back together once again for the new Netflix flick The Rip. The pair star in the crime thriller as two detectives who discover a stash of $20 million in cash while on the job. This leads to distrust between them and amongst their team. Meanwhile, their squad is also dealing with the mysterious recent loss of their captain, who was killed on the job by unknown culprits. Will someone take the money? Will they all be honest about what they found? And what really happened with the captain?

Matt Damon as Dane Dumars
Matt Damon stars as Lieutenant Dane Dumars, a detective who recently received a promotion and is in charge of the team who entered the stash house and found the money.
In addition to The Rip, this year Damon will also star in The Odyssey. He previously worked with co-star Affleck on films including Good Will Hunting, The Last Duel, and Air.

Ben Affleck as JD Byrne
Ben Affleck plays JD Byrne, a sergeant who is the second in command. JD was in a relationship with Jackie, the captain who was killed while on the job. (It's not a spoiler; her death opens the movie.)
Affleck will star in another Netflix crime thriller this year, Animals, which he also directed. Some of his other films include Argo, Gone Girl, and The Accountant.

Steven Yeun as Mike Ro
Detective Mike Ro is played by Steven Yeun. Mike is one of the people on the team of detectives who discover the millions of dollars in cash.
Yeun is known for roles in the TV series The Walking Dead and Beef and in the movies Minari and Nope. This year, he will co-star with Affleck again in Animals and will also voice a character in the animated movie The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.

Teyana Taylor as Numa Baptiste
Another member of the group is Detective Numa Baptiste, who is played by Teyana Taylor.
Taylor's films include A Thousand and One and One Battle After Another. The singer and actor currently stars in the TV series All's Fair, and she will appear in the comedy 72 Hours this year.

Catalina Sandino Moreno as Lolo Salazar
The last detective on the scene at the stash house is Lolo Salazar, who is played by Catalina Sandino Moreno.
Sandino Moreno is known for Maria Full of Grace, A Most Violent Year, and Ballerina. She also starred in the TV series The Affair.

Sasha Calle as Desi
Desi is the woman the detectives meet when they arrive at the stash house. What she knows—or doesn't know—about the large sum of cash and how it got into the house is brought into question.
Desi is played by Sasha Calle. Calle has had roles in the movies The Flash—she played Supergirl—and On Swift Horses. She previously spent several years on the soap opera The Young and the Restless.

Kyle Chandler as Matty Nix
Matty Nix is a DEA agent, who knows the detectives. He's another character whose trustworthiness is questioned—and he has to wonder who he can trust, too.
Kyle Chandler plays Matty. Friday Night Lights fans will know him best as Coach Taylor. The actor's other projects include The Wolf of Wall Street, Carol, and Manchester by the Sea. This year, in addition to The Rip, he will star in the superhero TV show Lanterns.

Scott Adkins as Del Byrne
Del Byrne is a federal agent and the brother of JD. He is investigating the murder of Jackie.
Del is played by Scott Adkins. The actor is primarily known for roles in action movies, including Zero Dark Thirty, The Expendables 2, and John Wick: Chapter 4.

Lina Esco as Jackie Velez
Jackie Velez is the police captain who was killed while working on an investigation. Since her death occurs right at the beginning of the film, she is mostly seen in flashbacks.
Lina Esco plays Jackie. In her best known role, Esco also played a cop—she starred in the TV series S.W.A.T.

Néstor Carbonell as Thom Vallejo
Thom Vallejo is the police major, who is in charge of the station where the detectives work. He is the person they are meant to report to about their findings.
Néstor Carbonell plays Thom. Carbonell is known for shows including Lost, Bates Motel, and The Morning Show. This year, he is also set to appear in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.
