The actor plays a former operative who was part of a mysterious group known as The Beekeepers, but he becomes an actual beekeeper in his retirement, as one does. A search for vengeance after his landlady falls victim to a scam means that he takes on one more mission.
Parallel

Based on the 2019 Chinese movie Parallel Forest, Danielle Deadwyler stars in this sci-fi thriller about a woman who is grieving the loss of her child when she finds out that there are parallel universes that she can travel between. And she finds this out by encountering alternative versions of herself and her husband! Deadwyler co-stars with brothers Aldis and Edwin Hodge, who also co-wrote the film.
Love Lies Bleeding

Kristen Stewart stars in Love Lies Bleeding as Lou, a gym owner who falls for a bodybuilder, Jackie (Katy O'Brian). Their love story ends up intertwined with the crimes of Lou's family, including her father (Ed Harris), who is being pursued by the FBI. Jena Malone and Dave Franco also star.
Monkey Man

Dev Patel makes his directorial debut with action thriller Monkey Man, which he also co-wrote and stars in. Patel plays a man working in a fight club—where he fights wearing a monkey mask—who goes on a mission of revenge against the upper class people who were responsible for his mother's death.
Civil War

Civil War is set in a future in which the United States is experiencing another Civil War. In this world, an authoritarian government is at war with a movement led by the states of Texas and California. Kirsten Dunst stars as a war photographer traveling with a group of other journalists through the front line of the war in an attempt to get to the president.
Twisters

What would you call a sequel to Twister besides Twisters? The 1996 disaster film was about storm chasers tracking down dangerous tornados. And, yeah, this one's similar when it comes to that general plot. But, it's also about researchers attempting to save people from deadly tornados by dissipating them with a new invention. The cast includes Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Anthony Ramos.
Trap

M. Night Shyamalan's latest movie stars Josh Hartnett as a father, who takes his daughter to a concert only to find out that the entire concert is a trap to catch a serial killer. Oh, and he's the serial killer. (Don't worry, that part's in the trailer.) The director's daughter, Saleka Shyamalan, co-stars as the pop sensation performing the concert, Lady Raven.

Blink Twice

Zoë Kravitz makes her directorial debut with Blink Twice, which she also co-wrote. Plus, it stars her fiancé Channing Tatum. The film is about a tech billionaire, Slater (Tatum), and a cocktail server, Frida (Naomi Ackie), who fall for each other. But, when Frida visits Slater's private island, it's fun at first, but she soon begins questioning her reality and realizing something is seriously wrong.
Wolfs

Brad Pitt and George Clooney join forces for Wolfs (that's right, Wolfs, not Wolves). It's about two fixers who usually work alone (like, lone wolfs), but who are assigned to the same job. The cast also includes Amy Ryan, Poorna Jagannathan, and Austin Abrams.

Joker: Folie à Deux

If you haven't heard, the sequel to 2019's Joker is also a musical, so... a dark psychological musical thriller. You don't see that everyday. Joaquin Phoenix returns as DC Comics villain Joker while Lady Gaga joins as Harley Quinn.

Woman of the Hour

Our third actor-making-their-directorial-debut film is Woman of the Hour from Anna Kendrick. She pulls double duty and stars as a dating show contestant in the 1970s, who ends up choosing a man (Daniel Zovatto) who is a serial killer. Unbelievably, the film is based on the true story of Rodney Alcala, who actually did appear on The Dating Game while still active as a serial killer. This led to him being known as The Dating Game Killer.
Conclave
In theaters Oct. 25
The selection of a new pope might not sound like the most thrilling thing, but the selection process, called a conclave, gets the thriller treatment with this new film. The movie is based on the novel Conclave by Robert Harris, and it is centered around a cardinal (Ralph Fiennes) who learns that the previous pope had a secret that has to be revealed before the new pope is announced. The cast also includes Stanley Tucci, Isabella Rossellini, and John Lithgow.

Juror #2
In theaters Nov. 1
Nicholas Hoult stars in Juror #2, a courtroom thriller from director Clint Eastwood. The actor plays, obviously, a juror taking part in a trial. But, he realizes that he might be connected to the murder case as the person who is actually responsible for the death at hand.
Babygirl
In theaters Dec. 25
Nicole Kidman plays a CEO who begins an affair with a younger intern (Harris Dickinson) in the erotic thriller Babygirl. Antonio Banderas co-stars as the husband of Kidman’s character in this film about office power dynamics.
