64 Celebrities You Never Realized Were Your Sorority Sisters
Greek life, but make it Hollywood.
You might think Vice President Kamala Harris, Bachelor Nation's Cassie Randolph, and Kourtney "Goes to Hot Topic Once" Kardashian have literally zero in common, but you! would! be! wrong! All three of them are a) famous, b) accomplished, and c) card-carrying sorority members. And if you happen to be in Alpha Kappa Alpha, Phi Mu, or Alpha Phi, they’re also your sorority sisters.
But VP Harris, Cassie, and Kourtney are far from the only A-list celebrities / kinda random reality stars / incredibly inspiring politicians who went Greek in college. Tons of stars rushed back before they became famous, and chances are there are a buncha celebs in your sorority you never even knew about. And um, just gonna point out: most of them went on to have truly incredible careers.
Like, Ruth Bader Ginsberg pledged Alpha Epsilon Phi at Cornell University and then turned around and became a literal Supreme Court justice and total legend. So yeah, all that wild sh*t you did during rush was probs fully worth it if there's a chance that you'll follow in *those* footsteps.
Oh, and FYI that Elizabeth Banks' time in Tri Delta literally influenced the plot of Pitch Perfect 2, so in some cases, celebs' sororities have major lasting effects on their whole lives and careers. To quote Elizabeth on PP2, “This time around, I used my own experiences as a sorority girl at university to inform all these girls living together in a house.”

Jenna Dewan: Pi Beta Phi (ΠΒΦ)
Jenna is a member of Pi Beta Phi, which she joined back in her college days at the University of Southern California. And she’s in good company too: Jennifer Garner also pledged Pi Beta Phi, so they’re technically sisters. Just sayin’.
Lucy Liu: Chi Omega (ΧΩ)
Before she was a member of Charlie’s Angels (a whole different kind of sorority that I definitely want to belong to), Lucy Liu went to the University of Michigan and was a member of Chi Omega. Coolest sorority sister ever? Yup.
Meghan Markle: Kappa Kappa Gamma (ΚΚΓ)
Remember when Meghan Markle wasn’t a casual member of the British royal family? Yeah me neither, but apparently, she was busy living that sorority life at Northwestern University. Meghan rushed Kappa Kappa Gamma, and according to biographer Andrew Morton, her sisters “embraced her warmly.” Duh, wouldn’t you?
Kourtney Kardashian: Alpha Phi (AΦ)
That’s right, Kourtney Kardashian went to college and was apparently a sorority pledge? Rumor has it, Kourt joined Alpha Phi at University of Arizona, but it doesn’t seem to be a huge part of her life these days.
Hannah Brown: Alpha Chi Omega (ΑΧΩ)
Important info, Bachelor Nation fans: Hannah Brown pledged Alpha Chi Omega at the University of Alabama! And apparently, the house even got caught in some dramz. TMZ claims the sorority refused to let ABC film promos at Hannah’s old digs because of “security concerns.” Awk.
Brandy: Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA)
Brandy is an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, meaning she has all the same privileges as regular members minus the whole initiation thing. Brandy was granted membership in 2014 and posted about it on Instagram, writing, “Today was a very special day. I became an honorary member of #AlphaKappaAlpha!”
Alicia Keys: Alpha Kappa Kappa (AKA)
Another honorary member of Alpha Kappa Kappa? That’d be legendary singer/pianist Alicia Keys, who was welcomed into the sorority in 2004. Ummm, between her and Brandy, this sisterhood is shaping up to be incredibly talented and we’re just getting started.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus: Delta Gamma (ΔΓ)
Delta Gamma sisters are truly blessed to count Julia Louis-Dreyfus among their members. The Seinfeld actor pledged her allegiance to the sorority during her time at Northwestern University—although she deactivated after a year and eventually dropped out of school to pursue acting. All is obviously forgiven due to the comedic gold that is Veep.
Jennifer Garner: Pi Beta Phi (ΠΒΦ)
LOL, get this: Jennifer Garner revealed that she rushed Pi Beta Phi while getting grilled on her most-Googled questions by Wired. Guess a lot of people are wondering about her time as a pledge? Well, get excited guys, ’cause she even remembers the cheer.
Jamie Chung: Kappa Kappa Gamma (ΚΚΓ)
Things that are ironic: Jamie Chung being in the slasher movie Sorority Row and also living that Greek life IRL. “I was in Kappa Kappa Gamma at UC Riverside,” she told Complex. “We would play flag football—that was the funnest week. It turned into f*cking straight-up tackling. Like, ‘I hate that b*tch from Gamma Pheta Beta, I’m gonna tackle her.’ We kicked ass!” Wow, um, okay, lots to unpack here.
Aubrey O’Day: Alpha Chi Omega (AXΩ)
Before she was a member of Danity Kane (and well before her alleged affair with Donald Trump Jr., ahem), Aubrey O’Day was a sorority gal. The singer belonged to Alpha Chi Omega during her time at UC Irvine and visited the house for a reunion back in 2011.
Whitney Port: Kappa Alpha Theta (KAΘ)
Let’s go back, back to the beginning...when Hills star Whitney Port joined Kappa Alpha Theta. At the time, she was a Gender Studies major at the University of Southern California, not to mention a burgeoning reality star!

Let’s go back, back to the beginning again when The Hills star Lo Bosworth went to UCLA and joined the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Honestly, how she had time for Greek life while simultaneously dealing with Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad drama is beyond me.
Carrie Underwood: Sigma Sigma Sigma (ΣΣΣ)
Country icon Carrie Underwood is a Tri Sigma sister thanks to her time at Northeastern State University. And nowadays, she uses her tour schedule to stay in touch with members all across the country. Per Carrie, “I see my sorority sisters from other colleges, which is really cool.” Cute.
Elizabeth Banks: Delta Delta Delta (ΔΔΔ)
