Fashion!

The 2025 Met Gala is finally here, so gather round and prepare to have strong opinions on literally everyone's looks. Some things to note before we get into it? This year's theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and—per Vogue—"will explore the role of sartorial style in forming Black identities, focusing on the emergence, significance, and proliferation of the Black dandy." The show is inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
Meanwhile, the dress code for guests is "Tailored for you." It's open for interpretation, but Vogue says "it mostly means embracing looks reflective of one’s personal style." They also note that takes on suiting and menswear staples will likely dominate the carpet.
And speaking of the carpet, this year's Met Gala is co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams. LeBron James is an honorary chair, and the host committee includes celebs like André 3000, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Jordan Casteel, Dapper Dan, Doechii, Ayo Edebiri, Edward Enninful, Jeremy O. Harris, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Rashid Johnson, Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee, Audra McDonald, Janelle Monáe, Jeremy Pope, Angel Reese, Sha'Carri Richardson, Tyla, Usher, and Kara Walker.
On that note, let's get into it!
