All the Best Celebrity Halloween Costumes of 2024

Against all odds, we’ve reached October, and the time has come for celebrities to abandon all chill for Halloween. Gone are the days when the A-through-D list would throw on some random costume from Spirit Halloween and get papped on their way into a party. Now everyone’s out here hiring professional photographers and staging elaborate shoots that I’m gonna assume took place back in the summer. Point is: Celebrities take this holiday seriously!

And while Halloween is technically on October 31, people got started early this year. Let’s see: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco dressed up as Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway was the living embodiment of a dad joke (aka Boo York City), Sophie Turner was Trinity from The Matrix, and Ice Spice was Leeloo from The Fifth Element. Plus, at least one of Joan Vassos’s The Golden Bachelorette contestants dressed up as her—complete with blonde wig and gold dress. There’s still time to steal one of these costumes if inspiration strikes (Sophie’s Trinity look is especially low-lift), you know, just in case the last-minute Charli XCX ’fit you threw together is no longer doing it for you.
