Soooo, anyone who thought the Summer House reunion (part one of three!) wouldn’t be full of bombshells thanks to that leak was simply incorrect. Last night’s episode was jaw-dropping thanks to several reveals, including Amanda Batula and West Wilson saying that they didn’t sleep together until after putting out their joint statement.
West claimed that he and Amanda had their first kiss the night after a group brunch in February—which Jesse Solomon, Kyle Cooke, and Ben Waddell were also at. Amanda then confirmed they waited to sleep together until after their joint statement, quickly adding “not that night,” while West noted “This isn’t a sex scandal.”
Lindsay Hubbard shot back with “We know you didn’t fuck until recently,” and Kyle tried to move the conversation on with “I’d rather not visualize the sex stuff.”
West also tried to emphasize that the beginning of their relationship was strictly emotional, saying it started with conversation: “When we were out, I kinda looked at Amanda and was like, ‘Am I fucking crazy or is there a little something going on here?’”
As a reminder, West and Amanda put out their statement on March 31—less than a month ago. In it, they wrote, “We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
They added in part, “What’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
Since then, the couple have been seen out on dates and are currently on vacation in Rome.
