Celeb Couples Who (Might) Make Their First Joint Met Gala Appearance in 2026, Ranked From Most to Least Likely

My money is on Kylie and Timmy.

By

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard all about the “Met Gala Curse,” which is when a celeb couple attends the Met Gala together for the first time only to break up shortly after. But let’s not forget, too, that there are plenty more celebrity duos who have defied the Met Gala Curse and continue stunning on the steps of the Met together year after year (Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade! Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas! Amal and George Clooney!). And while I can’t predict how things will end, I can predict which A-list couples might make their Met Gala debut in 2026.

From couples who have been dating for years now but have yet to hit the Met Gala red carpet together (looking at you, Kylie and Timmy) to brand-new pairs who might choose this occasion to hard-launch their relationship (hi, Kim and Lewis!), here are just some of the celebrity couples you might see stunning at the Met Gala together for the very first time, ranked from most to least realistic (because a girl can dream). Here’s hoping the Met Gala Curse doesn’t come for them!!

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet

Even though they’ve been dating since early 2023, these two have never attended the Met Gala together (and in fact, Timmy hasn’t been to the Met Gala since 2021). Both are rumored to be attending this year so...I see no reason why they wouldn’t attend together!

It hasn’t been confirmed yet whether newly married 2026 Met Gala co-chair Venus will be bringing her Italian model husband to this year’s event for the first time ever, but I have a good feeling she will.

The Famesick author and Girls star is heading to the Met Gala this year (for the first time since 2019) as part of the Host Committee, and it makes sense that she would bring her musician hubby along for the ride (though keep in mind that even committee members are not guaranteed a plus-one).

Sure, Kim has fallen victim to the Met Gala Curse in the past (remember when she showed up with Pete Davidson in 2022?), but she and her rumored F1 boyfriend have been going strong since January, and both are reportedly on the guest list this year, which makes a hard launch feel pretty likely.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Sure, Taylor hasn’t been to the Met Gala since 2016 and Travis has never been. But rumor has it that Taylor could be making her big return this year, and it would only make sense for her to bring her fiancé along!

Michael Polansky and Lady Gaga

Like Taylor, Gaga is (reportedly) attending the Met Gala this year for the first time since meeting her fiancé, so there’s a chance he joins her for fashion’s biggest night.

Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz

Yes, it’s hard to imagine this super-private pair posing together. But Zoë is co-chair of the 2026 Met Gala Host Committee, Harry is a rumored attendee, and they’re (reportedly) engaged. Seems like a recipe for a hard launch to me!

Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid

Sure, these two have never posed on a red carpet together before. But now that they’re two-and-a-half years into this romance, I think a Bradley and Gigi Met Gala hard launch isn’t out of the question!

Again, considering how private they are, I’d be a bit surprised to see this basketball power couple hit the Met Gala together, but A’ja is on the Host Committee, so perhaps she’ll turn the Met Gala into a date night.

So, there is very little evidence that these two are actually a couple. And even if they are, there is very little chance they will decide to hard launch at the Met Gala. But both will (reportedly) be there this year, and like I said, a girl can dream!!
