And just like that, we’re back with another season of Blind Date. We’ve missed you! And Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Willa Bennett has certainly missed going on blind dates with all of the internet’s favorite people. Last season, she wined and dined actors like Logan Lerman, musicians like Conan Gray, and reality TV icons like JaNa Craig. How could we possibly go up from there, you ask? By snagging Rob Rausch straight from his Traitors win, of course.
Things were a bit rocky at first: Willa initially guessed Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams (manifesting, can’t blame her), before getting a bit warmer with Rob’s co-star and RHOBH legend Lisa Rinna. Once she successfully uncovered his identity, Willa learned that Rob didn’t know her name. We’ll just assume he takes the “blind” in blind dating very seriously. Before the drinks started flowing, Rob gave Willa an inside look at his Traitors strategy, including what his relationship with Maura Higgins was really like, and revealed that he had no idea what he was signing up for when he entered the Love Island villa (now, he’s more afraid of reality TV than snakes). While Willa was disappointed to learn that Rob has a girlfriend, she was pleasantly surprised to hear that they met at a bookstore. A little too good to be true, no?
After a few cosmos, Rob started pulling out the big guns: He spoke a little French, gave his take on when to meet the parents, and told Willa the best gift he’s ever given to a romantic partner.
