2025’s most unexpected couple, Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry, are still going strong over here in 2026, and while they keep things pretty private (minus the occasional Instagram post), Justin’s son is here to dish.
Xavier “Xav” Trudeau just went on the Can’t Be Censored podcast and had a lot to say about Katy—all of it very positive! “When I’m really happy with a song [I] send it [to her],” Xav said, per Us Weekly. “She’s always happy to give me advice or tell me what I should change.”
“She’s super nice,” he added. “She’s super down to earth. She’s great. I think that my dad’s happy so that’s important.”
Xav added that he’s aware of the “noise” surrounding his dad’s relationship, but said seeing pictures of them together is “just like any other picture of my dad and my mom. Or just my dad… My life is so crazy sometimes. I’m like, What is my life? What the hell? I just laugh. The reality of it is, it’s my life. What can I do? What can I change?”
Katy and Justin have been dating since last summer, and back in October a source told the Daily Mail that “Katy is very, very interested in him. She says he's a real catch, a high-quality guy. She keeps a lot of details to herself, but she clearly still likes him a lot. They just are so busy and in different cities, so they aren't physically together. But if there's anyone worth having a long-distance relationship with, it's him. She likes him a lot. He likes her a lot. I'd even say they're enamored.”
