- Manon Bannerman has been on temporary hiatus from KATSEYE since Feb. 20.
- In a Weverse message shared on April 2, Manon gave an update on where she stands with HYBE x Geffen.
- HYBE has since revealed whether Manon is performing with the rest of the girls at Coachella on April 10.
It seems like a lot has gone down since Manon Bannerman announced she would be taking a temporary hiatus from KATSEYE in February. As the global girl group’s festival circuit is in full swing—including their highly anticipated debut at Coachella later this month—Eyekons are wondering where Manon might stand when it comes to upcoming performances. While she opted out of the group’s Lollapalooza gigs in Latin America, the internet is convinced that she may return just in time for the iconic California music fest.
So, will Manon perform at Coachella with KATSEYE? According to The Korea Herald, HYBE confirmed that Manon will be joining Yoonchae, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Sophia Laforteza, and Megan Skiendiel on stage in the desert.
However, HYBE allegedly “declined to comment on the more recent speculation” after Manon removed any mention of the band from her Instagram bio on April 2. That same day, she shared an update with fans on Weverse, writing, “[HYBE x Geffen Records] and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy. I’ll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me.”
Manon was also spotted chatting with fans at Malcolm Todd’s show in L.A. later that night, according to footage obtained by fan accounts.
^^^ All this comes after Eyekons speculated that Manon might be exiting the group permanently amid her temporary hiatus. She wasn’t featured in the teaser trailer for KATSEYE’s upcoming single, “Pinky Up,” and the band’s official account seemingly confirmed she isn’t part of the rollout with a recent social post featuring the other girls.
Here’s to hoping we hear more from Manon as she has her moment on the Coachella stage!
