• Brazilian soccer player Jorginho claimed bodyguard Pascal Duvier was aggressive with his wife and stepdaughter after a brief, non-verbal interaction with Chappell Roan.
  • Chappell denied involvement and apologized for the situation.
  • Pascal has finally spoken out on the “regretful” incident, claiming he did not approach the family on Chappell’s behalf.

Just when we thought Chappell Roan’s security saga was over, the plot thickens. The now-infamous bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, has finally spoken out about the situation as each update continues to make headlines.

“I take full responsibility for the interactions on March 21st. I was at the hotel on behalf of another individual, and I was not part of the personal security team of Chappell Roan. The actions I took were not on behalf of Chappell Roan, her personal security team, her management, or any other individuals,” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram statement on Wednesday, March 25.

He continued, “I made a judgment call based on information we obtained from the hotel, events I had witnessed in the days prior and the heightened overall security risk of our location. My sole interaction with the mother was calm and with good intentions, and the outcome of the encounter is regretful.”

According to the Daily Mail, Pascal has a history of scandals when it comes to his A-list clients. He was reportedly in charge of the Kardashians’ security when Kim Kardashian was infamously robbed of $10 million worth of jewelry during a trip to Paris in 2016. The outlet claims that he had been at a nightclub with Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner when the robbery took place.

His recent saga with Chappell transpired last weekend, when Brazilian soccer player Jorginho’s wife, Catherine Harding (aka Cat Cavelli), went to Lollapalooza in São Paolo with her 11-year-old daughter, Ava Law (who, yes, is the biological daughter of Jude Law). They were reportedly staying in the same hotel as Chappell, who they saw at breakfast. Jorginho slammed the singer on social media, accusing Pascal of “speaking in an extremely aggressive manner” to Catherine and Ava after an alleged brief, non-verbal interaction.

Pascal’s post comes after Chappell addressed the incident in a March 22 Instagram Story.

“I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child. I did not. They did not come up to me. They weren’t doing anything. It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there’s no action even taken,” the “My Kink Is Karma” singer said in the clip, adding that Pascal was not her “personal security.”

“And I do not hate people who are fans of my music,” she added. “I do not hate children. Like, that is crazy. I’m sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming something, that you would do something, and if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.”

One of Chappell’s reps doubled down on her sentiment, telling Page Sixthat the Grammy winner “holds her own teams to the highest standards” and has “zero tolerance for aggressive behavior toward her or her fans.”

“Chappell was not aware of any interaction between this mother/daughter and a third-party security officer,” the rep said in a statement on Monday, March 23. “She did not see them at breakfast in her hotel, as she said in her video. She did not direct her personal security or anyone on her team to interact with them.”

Hopefully, all this will be put to rest after he’s said his piece.
