To say MomTok is going through it right now would be an understatement. In the past week, it’s been revealed that 1) The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 5 has paused filming, 2) Jordan Ngatikaura has filed for divorce from Jessi Draper, and 3) Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette has been canceled amid domestic assault allegations (and the release of a disturbing tape from 2023, showing a domestic incident between Taylor and her ex, Dakota Mortensen). And now, Taylor’s Mormon Wives castmate Miranda Hope is weighing in.
On March 22, content creator Dana Bowling took to social media to share some ~theories~ about how TMZ may have obtained the leaked video from 2023…including her theory that the video “was leaked by one of the costars of Secret Lives that does not have Taylor’s back.” What’s more: She said that her “first guess” would be Miranda.
Miranda then slid into Dana’s comments section to set the record straight, writing, “The first time I saw that video was the same day you all did. None of us girls have ever been in possession of it or any other evidence.”
Miranda went on to reference the statement she’d posted to her Instagram Stories soon after the video was released, saying, “My intent with my statement was not to shade Taylor, but to simply address that I do not support nor condone that behavior from either party. Taylor and I have been in a good place and she has apologized for both the Shinia [Powell] and Chase [McWhorter] stuff! I have my theories on who leaked the video, but I can promise you it wasn’t any of the women.”
Three days earlier, Miranda had shared a response to the leaked video—though she was careful not to name any names. “I’ve honestly been a little at a loss for words trying to process this all,” she said at the time. “Everything has been really heavy to see. Domestic violence and abuse of any kind is something I take very seriously.”
She continued, “As a human, and especially as a mother, I cannot support that kind of behavior. My heart is with the children in this and I hope they’re safe, supported, and surrounded by love.”
