Original story 3/16/2026: A couple things! If you’re wondering whether or not there’ll be more seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives coming to Hulu, the answer is a firm yes. In fact, the show is currently filming in the wake of Taylor Frankie Paul returning from her stint on The Bachelorette.
However.
TMZ reports that production on the hit reality show has “hit an unexpected pause” due to a “blowup” between Taylor and her ex Dakota Mortensen.
Quick reminder: These two have been on-again/off-again pretty much since they got together, and their relationship was still complicated in the days before Taylor left to go on The Bachelorette. As in, Dakota literally spent the night at her place right before she left for the airport.
According to TMZ, drama between Taylor and Dakota “erupted while filming for season 5” and cameras are currently down, with the situation becoming “intense enough that filming couldn’t continue as planned.”
Hulu’s cameras are typically around to capture almost all the drama on Mormon Wives, so unclear what could be so intense that they had to stop filming. But it’s possible (just speculating here!) that Taylor and Dakota could simply want a breather—especially because Taylor, in particular, has been pretty much nonstop filming for months between Mormon Wives season 4, The Bachelorette, and Mormon Wives season 5!
At this point, neither Dakota nor Taylor have spoken out about the drama, but stay tuned!
