Things we know about Bridgerton Season 5? It's allegedly filming this spring, will focus on either Eloise or Francesca, and miiiight feature some major returning cast members.
Traditionally, the leads from the previous season show up in the following season so that viewers get a glimpse into their life post-marriage. We saw Daphne come back in Season 2, Kate and Anthony return for season 3 and 4, and Penelope and Colin return for Season 4 (which, obviously, Penelope is...er, was...Lady Whistledown, after all).
So, are Benedict and Sophie coming back for Season 5? Showrunner Jess Brownell told Forbes that the returning characters will depend on next season's lead—and if it's Eloise, we could actually see even more from Kate, Penelope, and Benedict.
"I think if we're thinking about someone like Eloise, actually, her relationship with Kate, as well as her relationship with Penelope, are really important relationships," Jess says. "So those are two characters I would really expect to see. When we talk about Francesca, she doesn't realize it yet, but she has a bit of overlap with Benedict in terms of queerness. So that is a relationship I would want to see when we get to Francesca's season."
Again, we still don't know if Eloise or Francesca will lead Season 5, but stay tuned because Netflix/Lady Whistledown will presumably be making an announcement sometime soon?
