The Traitors season 4 finale is approaching quicker than Yam Yam became “Toast Toast” a few weeks ago. The highly anticipated reunion hits Peacock after the finale on Thursday, February 26, and if you can’t wait to see how all the drama and confrontations will unfold, we’re right there with you. (Seriously. We’re still thinking of how Monét X Change will approach the Housewives after Candiace Dillard-Bassett hit him with the ultimate betrayal.)
As the reunion approaches, so have rumors surrounding the taping, which reportedly went down on February 12. According to a Page Six report, Colton Underwood allegedly walked off set after a heated exchange with Lisa Rinna. While some sources claimed he “stormed off the set in a huff,” another says it was “more of an upset walk-off that happened in tandem with a planned break.”
During the most recent episode of Harry Jowsey’s Boyfriend Material podcast on February 24, Colton echoed the second source while debunking the rumor altogether.
“I mean, I don’t always have time to go back and forth and say, ‘This is true, this is not true,’ but I did not storm off of the set. There’s planned—as you know, as reunions are filming—there’s planned breaks, and when they bring new people out and position them, you have 10 minutes of downtime, so everybody stayed in their seat and I just went out and my team was there, so I talked to them and had water,” The Bachelor alum explained.
Colton, who claims he’s “good” with Lisa now, added, “There’s a lot of spin that’s happened on this season. I’ll just say that, and I’ve sort of just been sitting there taking it and I’m exhausted. At this point of my career, I don’t have time to go online and combat every negative or just quite frankly lie that’s out there about me. It’s just also not good for my mental health either.”
His clarification comes after Lisa revealed that “everything was taken care of” during The Traitors reunion. “Let me say one thing: Everything was taken care of,” she said in a TikTok video posted on February 13. “Whether you’ll see it or not, I don’t know because I don’t have control over that. You know what needed to be done, and it was done. Yep, ’cause if you want a Housewife, I’ll give you a Housewife, honey. Eight years.”
Lisa also spilled what she knew about Colton’s alleged exit during the reunion special in a chat with Variety, saying, “I didn’t see it myself. I saw him leave, but I saw other people leave too, to go to the bathroom and such, but it took a long time for people to come back. That I can share with you.”
She continued, “But let’s put it on the record, because they probably won’t air it, right? I said, ‘Colton, I have a question for you: What did you mean when you said, “I’m going to take her hostage?”’ That’s all I said. And that spun him out.”
Variety clarified that a source who was at the taping said that Colton “did not storm out or spin out at any point.”
“I never meant any harm,” Lisa admitted to the outlet. “Hopefully, we can all have a kumbaya moment.”
