Timothée Chalamet is slowly letting fans into his relationship with Kylie Jenner. Though the pair has been dating for almost three years, attending high-profile awards shows and family holidays together, they have remained relatively low-key and kept details surrounding their romance out of the public eye.
But, in a new interview with Matthew McConaughey for CNN and Variety, Timmy gave rare insight into their romance when telling a story about a thoughtful gesture Kylie made for his 30th birthday last year.
The actor, who played a small role as Matthew’s son in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar in 2014, fully gushed about the film being one of his favorites.
“I have legitimately maybe seen it 22 times or something. I saw it 12 times in theaters when it came out,” Timmy shared before Matthew blurted, “His girlfriend set him up with a screening of Interstellar for his birthday!”
Timmy laughed, “This was true, this was true, man. And I was grumpy on the way there, because I didn’t know where she was taking me.”
He continued, “It’s my birthday. Why are we driving 30 minutes outside L.A.? I got to the theater [and] it was Interstellar on IMAX. I said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry. I’m sorry I was so grumpy on the drive.’”
Timmy’s anecdote comes after he allegedly confirmed he wants to marry the Kylie Cosmetics mogul during a Q&A with Love Actually director Richard Curtis, who asked him a bunch of questions about his personal life.
He first asked Timothée, “Do you have a girlfriend?” to which he responded with a simple “Yes.” Richard then asked, “Do you think you’ll ever get married? Can we come?”
The Marty Supreme actor took a beat, saying, “Wow, that’s so personal,” before adding, “You’re going to get me in trouble, man. Yes. Yes.”
After a gesture like that? We simply wouldn’t blame him.
