Amber Glenn, the icon you are! The first-time Olympian had quite the redemption arc after she missed her triple loop during her short program performance on Tuesday, February 17. Just two days later, the Blade Angel hit the ice for a free skate at the women’s final, and spoiler alert: She absolutely crushed it.

Amber earned an impressive score of 147.52 for her performance to “I Will Find You” by Audiomachine and “The Return” by CLANN, fully bouncing back from her drop to 13th place after the short program.

She pumped her fist with pride in the Kiss and Cry Zone, which was a stark difference from her reaction earlier this week. “Thank you for staying with me, believing in me,” she told the camera after her win. “I love you, and I'm gonna keep saying what I need to say.”

Of course, fans wasted no time in showering the figure skater with affection.

“Amber Glenn, you won my heart. I love you,” one fan wrote in Portuguese on social media, while another added, “Amber Glenn showed incredible resilience.. bouncing back from a rough short program to deliver a near-perfect free skate is the mark of a true competitor. Moments like this remind us why sports aren’t just about skill, but grit, focus, and the heart to fight back when it counts.”

The major win comes after Amber fumbled her triple loop at the previous event, where “Quad God” Ilia Malinin watched from the crowd. Per People, he offered some comfort to his teammate after he faced difficulties in his own performance, saying, “I’ve told her that, you know, this is something that we all go through. It’s not always a pleasant feeling, but it’s something that we need to embrace, and we have to move on from no matter what, because no matter what happens, we always have to get up and go do it again.”

Whether Amber is eligible for another medal aside from the gold she snagged during the team event remains unknown, but one thing’s for sure: We’re definitely rooting for her!
