And just like that, it’s the Year of the Fire Horse. If you spent the lead-up to the new year deep cleaning your apartment, paying off your debts, and refreshing your closet, then well, you’re better than me. I’ve just been picturing myself in the mix at Gold House’s incredible, first-ever Lunar New Year celebration during New York Fashion Week (you’ve seen the pics, I know you have).
Here’s the lowdown: On Thursday, February 12, Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams and Bridgerton’s Yerin Ha hosted the inaugural affair at Chinese Tuxedo downtown. They were joined by literally everybody: designer Prabal Gurung (the mind behind Hudson’s look for the evening), icon Eva Chen, Bowen Yang, TSITP’s Lola Tung and Sean Kaufman, and friends-of-Cosmo Anna Cathcart and Suni Lee. After showing up and looking amazing, guests were treated to custom Hennessy cocktails, passed apps, and Hudson dancing the night away with his mom. Some got lost in competitive games of mahjong, and others sat down for touchups at Tatcha’s beauty station. Oh, and did we mention Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova (Heated Rivalry’s Svetlana) also made an appearance? It was a beautiful night to remember for all involved.
When the clock struck midnight, celebrations only heightened as Hudson rang in his 25th birthday. And really, what better way to start a new year?
