- King Charles is considering offering Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a huge olive branch when they return to England.
- The Sussexes could be invited to Balmoral, the King's "most personal residence."
- Prince William is "strongly opposed" to the idea due to an ongoing feud with his younger brother.
Prince Harry is returning to England for the Invictus Games, and rumor has it Meghan Markle—and potentially their kids—will be joining. And as for whether the couple will spend time with the royal family, all signs point to yep. Oh, and King Charles is apparently extending a huge olive branch: his personal home in Scotland, Balmoral.
“This is Charles’ most personal residence,” a source tells Rob Shuter's ShuterScoop. “Offering Harry and Meghan time at Balmoral is an enormous gesture. It signals trust, forgiveness, and a genuine desire to heal.”
The couple would be invited to stay during "select family gatherings," and the idea is dividing the rest of the family. By which we mean Prince William.
“William is strongly opposed,” an insider says. “He believes it’s too much, too soon — and fears it could reopen wounds that have barely begun to heal.” Meanwhile, Charles “knows time is precious. This is about family, not protocol.”
This news comes amid reports that King Charles might offer Meghan and Harry use of his beloved country estate, Highgrove House, when they're in town, with a source telling Daily Mail (via The Express) "There's a good chance that they will stay at a royal residence during a U.K. stay that includes Invictus events if the current thaw in family relations continues."
Guess we'll see what happens!
