If you left the theater after watching Marty Supreme, feeling like Golden Globe winner Timothée Chalamet’s biggest fan, I regret to inform you that the title belongs to someone else. Namely, 59-year-old Simone Cromer, the admin behind “Club Chalamet.” Despite what the “club” naming might suggest, Simone is the sole owner of the multi-platform fan account, which has been dedicated to all things Timmy since 2018. Over the past few years, Simone’s evolved from a standard-grade stan into something of an internet myth—mostly because she’s been photographed following Timothée to screenings and award shows across the country, seems to be embroiled in one-sided beef with his longtime “partner” Kylie Jenner, and manages to do all of this while holding down a full-time job in the healthcare industry. (You cannot deny her multifacetedness.)
But recently, Club Chalamet spectators noticed that the controversial fan has set her sights on a new hot, young star in Hollywood: Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie.
Earlier this week, social media users noticed Simone leaving a stunned “Jesus” comment under one of Connor’s Instagram posts. “It seems Club Chalamet has put her eyes on a new target,” one Reddit user theorized. Their suspicions were confirmed when, yesterday, the 59-year-old officially pledged her loyalty to the Heated Rivalry star on X: “I have become repulsed from the immature discourse surrounding Heated Rivalry and the lead actors and supporting actors,” she wrote. “Haters invited me to create Storrie Times, which will focus on #ConnorStorrie but will also include cool Hudson info.”
Simone isn’t wrong that the Heated Rivalry boys’ meteoric rise to fame has been riddled with discourse. They’ve faced endless speculation about their sexualities, every quote they give to the press gets dissected ad nauseam, and Hudson Williams was caught up in a leaked Letterboxd account scandal. Still, many fans expressed concern about Simone stepping up as their knight in shining armor via the Storrie Times venture. On the one hand, it would provide Timothée with a reprieve from Club Chalamet’s attention. On the other, it would place Connor Storrie (who has been famous for roughly eight weeks) at the center of her focus. And depending on who you ask, Club Chalamet’s extremely dedicated methods of demonstrating love for her faves are either hilarious or creepy.
This may be why fans reported the @StorrieTimes account en masse, leading to it being disabled by Meta in under 24 hours. Simone also claims she ran into identity verification issues while signing up for the account, which could have contributed to its rapid demise, but fans were vocal how determined they were to take action against her efforts.
It’s important to note that this isn’t the first time Simone has made a stanning pivot. Before Call Me by Your Name (the film that shot Timothée into superstardom) was released in 2017, Simone was an ardent Michael Fassbender stan, some of that era’s remnants are still visible on her personal pages. Plenty have noted that 2017 also happens to be the year Michael married actress Alicia Vikander.
While Simone maintains that she does not view Timothée as a romantic prospect (she likened him to a “nephew” in an interview with the Wall Street Journal), that hasn’t stopped social media users from theorizing that she could be moving on now that his relationship with Kylie Jenner has proven to be serious (she recently accompanied Timothée to the Golden Globes for the third year in a row).
Though Operation @StorrieTimes has been halted for now, there is a somewhat positive takeaway for the Heated Rivalry stars: Simone seems to only stan winners. And if Timothée’s trajectory is any indication, her willingness to throw weight behind Connor and Hudson may suggest they’re primed for a bright future of iconic press tours, prestigious awards, and perhaps a high-profile relationship or two. If @StorrieTimes ever gets off the ground, we know exactly where to keep up with all the action.
