• Chelsea Handler has some things to say about Timothee Chalamet’s Marty Supreme press tour!
  • Timothee has gotten criticism for being too boastful about the role and described his acting as “top-level shit.”
  • Chelsea noted, “Leo wouldn’t do that.”

Timothée Chalamet has been busy promoting Marty Supreme throughout awards season, and his comments have been...less than humble! While Timmy’s self-assured musings seem to intentionally be in the spirit of his character, that doesn’t mean everyone is a fan. Including Chelsea Handler.

Speaking on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Chelsea agreed that Timothée is taking his press tour “too seriously,” saying, “He seemed pretty serious about winning and getting acknowledged for his great acting.” The comedian also noted that Timothée is a “great actor” but said, “It’s hard to hear someone talk about how great they are at acting.”

She added, “Leo wouldn’t do that. Leo is a movie star. He wouldn’t talk like that. That’s new. I haven’t heard any actor kind of talk like that.”

As a reminder, Timothée said in an interview, “This is probably my best performance and it’s been like seven, eight years that I feel like I have been handing in really, really committed top of the line performances. And it’s important to say it out loud. The discipline and the work ethic I’m bringing to these things. I don’t want people to take it for granted. I don’t want to take it for granted. This is really some top-level shit.”

I mean, he’s not wrong!
