- Prince Harry has "social anxiety" and is "uneasy with the spotlight."
- The royal has been feeling excluded from royal family events—like Christmas—in England.
- Harry's hoping to eventually "divide his time between California and the U.K."
Prince Harry has reportedly been missing his former life in England, especially amid his extended family gathering for the holidays. As royal author Christopher Andersen tells US Weekly, "Does it pain Harry to be pointedly excluded from times when the royal family gets together, like Christmas at Sandringham? Of course it does."
On top of that, Harry is "somewhat uneasy" with the spotlight and "has suffered from crippling social anxiety." Though that didn't stop him from attending Kris Jenner's 70th birthday party ahead of Remembrance Day in the U.K., where he and Meghan Markle were spotted in photos....annnnnd then allegedly requested said photos be removed from the Kardashians' social feeds.
"He’s aware of the optics, but he’s trying not to worry about it because he isn’t a working royal," a source said. "He wasn’t as concerned about it as the royals were." Meanwhile, Andersen notes that "Harry wore a poppy to the party in honor of fallen veterans. [This is] another example of how practically anything the Sussexes do is blown out of proportion."
As for speculation that the Sussexes could be heading back to England soon, Andersen says Harry "wants Archie and Lilibet to get to know their British relatives" and "has always said the door remains open to some sort of relationship with the royal family. Meghan’s focused on their life in Montecito, but he’s holding out hope that he can eventually divide his time between California and the U.K.”
That would be huge, but a source notes that "Harry is so happy living in the private world" and "feels more like himself" in California since back in England "He had this crazy schedule and would come back through the palace gates and couldn’t go out or have a personal life."
