• Nikki Glaser hosted the Golden Globes for the second year in a row on Sunday, Jan. 11.
  • The comedian made playful jabs at Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, and Kevin Hart during her opening monologue.
  • She revealed which jokes she ended up nixing from her monologue during a post-show interview with Howard Stern.

Nikki Glaser nailed her opening monologue at the 2026 Golden Globes with playful jokes aimed at celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Hart, and, yes, even the internet’s boyfriends, Jacob Elordi and Paul Mescal. The comedian admitted that she finished the final version of her monologue down to the wire, which means that some of her punchlines had to be cut before the show went live on Sunday night.

During an interview with SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Show on January 13, Nikki revealed which jokes didn’t make the final cut. According to her, CBS News edited out a jab aimed at President Donald Trump (though she did manage to sneak a joke about the Epstein files into the show).

“It was like, you just don’t say that guy’s name right now. I just want to give it space,” she explained, seemingly referring to his recent capture of Venezuelan politician Nicolás Maduro. She was also initially going to include a joke about the “Trump Beverly Hilton,” a play on Trump renaming the Kennedy Space Center, written by Only Murders in the Building’s Steve Martin.

Another punchline that got nixed was aimed at One Battle After Another’s Chase Infiniti, with Nikki likening her to JPMorganChase (yes, the bank): “Chase Infiniti is nominated for best actress tonight, and Chase Infiniti is her real name. And this is true, if you apply now, you can earn five percent cash back on all travel bookings through her through the end of the year. So get on that.”

Also cut was a second attempt to make fun of Chase’s name, which may not have landed well because of a sexual tie to Sean Penn, who is 40 years her senior: “Chase Infiniti Pain is actually her real name. Chase Infiniti Pain, which is also how Sean Penn gets an erection.”

And apparently, Nikki wanted to make this (questionable) play on Jean Smart’s name, too: “Some people have stage names like Hacks star Jean Smart, whose real name is Corduroy Dumbass.”

Brad Pitt, who was absent from the ceremony (though his skincare routine was not!), was yet another celeb butt of a cut joke. (This was honestly one of the better ones.)

“Brad Pitt is nominated for his role in F1 tonight. See, that’s what I love about Hollywood. When a man turns 60, he gets to play a race car driver. Meanwhile, after 35, every role for a woman is a tired mom who hates her life,” Nikki started. “And Brad, you were so good…when I was almost convinced that you’ve driven yourself somewhere in the last 30 years. But Brad did a lot of his own driving in the movie. And Brad, I don’t want to embarrass you, but your blinker was on the whole time there.”

As for the ones that did make the final version of her monologue, we’d say they landed better than these would have. Catch all 11 minutes here:
